My cat had a severe abscess and infection. My normal vet missed a through and through cat bite in my little cat’s ear. As a result, my cat’s ear became grossly infected and abscessed. My usual vet doesn’t take emergency calls.

I literally spent all day today calling around trying to find vets. They all advertise that they see “emergencies,” but refuse to see a new patient as an emergency. I was denied by five vets and was desperate. I even drove an hour and a half to Kona to go to an animal “urgent care” that was booked out and couldn’t see me on an urgent basis.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Dr. Jacki corrected a previous med for my dog, that shouldn’t have been prescribed for him long-term. Also received some good dental advice to try first, before proceeding with a cleaning needing anesthesia. We will be back!

I can’t thank aina hou animal hospital enough for taking my dog in on the same day for an emergency when other vets couldn’t. My dog was feeling sick and they were able to diagnose and educate me on what was going on with him. Shout out to Ray for his kindness, compassion, and understanding. As a reactive dog owner, I felt very understood and comforted by their reassurance and knowledge. They were able to accommodate my dog well. A big mahalo to Dr. Jaclyn as well. She is very knowledgeable, caring, and transparent in her work. I’m so happy to have found them and would definitely return for any future vet needs.
