Dr. Pickerill saved our young pups life! I live in Volcano and drove the two hours because there weren’t any other emergency clinics answering or taking in emergency cases even in Hilo. I’m so incredibly grateful to her and her team. She is a healer and an incredible Dr. with a kind and dedicated spirit to her work and the animals she cares for. She is a gem I would highly recommend her!

My Service dog Alejandro age 12 1/2+ years old was s u f f e ring so badly for a really loooooong time with a Fungal infection the very next day he's a NEW dog! Vet Jaclyn is Pawsome! Come in strangers leave as Ohana with all the TLC to furbabies! The visit was such a pleasure with Dr. Jaclyn who explained to me in great detail of how I must care the treatment plan for my dog to restore his health. I wish I had known about Aina Hou Animal Hospital in Waimea existed since I've been to many Vets who misdiagnosed (includes Veterinary A** O Ciates in Waimea ) other Kona Vets my pet's medical condition thinking it's fleas to allergies then given an eXpen$ive flea treatment...read full review

As a pet Mom, having an emergency happen on the weekend is scary...I called Aina Hou Animal Hospital, left a message with the answering service and got a call back within 15 minutes. Dr. Pickerill handled me very well, cause I was panicking....got to the hospital and he took good care of me and my fur baby, came out to give me updates since I couldn't go in with my Hema...explained how to administer the medications, the service was simply wonderful!!
