“THEY INSTALL IN HILO!!!! I couldn't find a Hawaii Energy vendor in Hilo and was referred by my friend in HNL to Craig's Air. Craig called me right away to introduce himself and then Jordan in Hilo called me right after to schedule a consult so I could get the install and credit before the end of the year. Not only are they a Hawaii Energy vendor, they gave fantastic service, follow up, not to mention the price was unbeatable. They even helped me get an electrician to help with the electrical box. The Installers were professional and provided good suggestions on best placement inside and out and told me to call any time if I had any questions or needed help. If you are in Hilo, they have been doing business here for awhile and have big accounts so I felt assured for the long term. Highly recommend!!! Thank you!!!“

I've been a loyal Rutan Refrigeration customer for over 10 years, since they replaced my condenser unit. Service has varied a bit depending on the technician over the years, but today's visit with Johnzen was outstanding.
My central air had stopped cooling properly, and Johmzrn came out to troubleshoot. His attention to detail was incredible — you could tell he genuinely cares about his work. He spent real time diagnosing the system, both in the attic and at the condenser, and when he wrapped up, he walked us through everything he found. It's clear this isn't just a job for him; he loves what he does. His customer service was polite, caring, and friendly the whole time.
A follow-up visit is scheduled once a part comes in, and I've already asked Sarah, the owner, to send Johnzen back out. She's also been fantastic throughout this whole process. Highly recommend this team!

I have been using this company since they replaced our central air unit 3 years ago. Our home owners warranty set everything up with this specific company. A few days after a technician came to conduct my annual service I received a call from Susan the general manager. We discussed the work that the technician had conducted on our central air unit and Susan felt comfortable with scheduling a follow up appointment just to make sure everything is running properly. After speaking with Susan I agreed to the appointment. Here is my honest feedback. I haven't experienced a business owner who cares so much about customers service/experience To. To have the general manager personally follow up with me throughout the years of service is a blessing. I decided today that I will continue to use her company for my annual cleaning and maintenance and whatever else happens along the way. Susan, I pray that God will send more people to you. Both dependable and honest workers and customers to large in numbers. May He bless you with abundance in His name.“

“Our Island Comfort AC Technician MANA was outstanding!! He has such positive, calm, friendly, and kind energy! Our two dogs Toby Flanders and Koda Pinkerton loved him immediately. Koda kept following him around as he made repairs to two of our AC units. MANA even found an unknown leak in one of our AC units and fixed that as well! He was very knowledgeable, professional, and a lovely human being!!

“I needed a new roof, which meant organizing to take off and reinstall the solar panels. Family First Solar worked seamlessly with the roofing company to do this. I wanted a battery that would take away the headache of power outages so they installed Sol-Ark which has larger capacity of battery than Tesla. After installation, thorough inspection was made and the system was a go. My electric bill went from an average of $32 to $15.50. Top rating was given for this company additionally as Kevin Medeiros was knowledgeable, thorough, friendly and went above and beyond in helping me to understand the new system. He even made a special trip to inspect my water heater which I thought was not functioning well. It turned out the way electricity heats up is different from the solar water heater and I needed to understand a different system. He even had prudent suggestions about the water and pressure valves someone recommended so I don't need to install things I don't really need. I was so grateful for his professional advice and his kindness. Eventually the old hot water tank needs to be replaced, but when the time comes thanks to Kevin, I have a good plan to take care of it. This is one company I can trust to do honest work for a fair price.“

They have been my go to plumber for years, at Kahala Towers, Regency Park, and now the Commodore in Hawaii Kai. All properties had old / original plumbing. These guys are union, highly skilled, and always available. Condo piping is complex and these are the best in the industry in that regard, based on my experience with almost every plumbing company on the island. I am writing this review because I see a few negative ones on here which don't accurately represent this company. If you are a commercial property manager or owner, I highly recommend using this company.“

“I had Hi Power install panels and batts and all worked as expected. When trouble came (recent hurricane Lala), we were knocked off grid (now 3rd day) and had an issue with the batteries. As expected from Hi Power, the request was processed quickly - from Cindy to Cruz and they were able to have technicians (Rick and son - Sorry! I forgot your name!) out to the house the same day!

They came, they checked, they detailed and they fixed! They coordinated with the manufacturer to verify how to confirm normal operations as we had no power from the grid and the sun decided to hide when they came. Everything was explained to me and any questions I had were answered. Hi Power returned the next day to verify things were still operating.

I continue to be a loyal customer and they are still my recommendation for anything solar. Thank you very much Hi Power!“

The team uses Daikin splits and I've been really happy with their energy efficiency. I haven't been conservative about cooling the house and my energy bill hasn't increased dramatically.
