He ended up diagnosing some problems with the SSD and my power supply, which is good to catch early on. It was a prebuilt I purchased from ABS (never again) on Newegg that had a few design flaws. He also removed the custom BIOS that the company had pre-installed, which kept the RAM locked at much lower speeds.
