“I called Degree H&C for a weekend emergency. The initial gentleman I talked to on the phone was very professional and organized in his triage of my issue. I then received an immediate follow-up call within 15 mins from a local technician who was at my house within an hour. He worked tirelessly on my boiler with a very obvious desire to identify the true underlying problem rather than quickly patch the issue with a temporary solution. He identified a few possible sources for our issue and fixed them on site in 2-3 hours. He returned the next day to ensure it was working as it should without charging an additional second visit fee.Overall, I was very impressed with the service, professionalism, and communication from the company as whole but was especially thankful for our technician Toby for his dedication and expertise. He also helped to install gas stove in Kitchen. He made sure we have all our appliances ready for our move in on time.We had a very old shower which was not kid friendly Michael tried to understand our exact needs and installed a shower and hand shower which really helped my kid to bathe easily. He is really a very good listener and tries to understands the customer needs. “My elderly mother in laws furnace went out in the cold weather , after two companies came and said must be replaced . John came and would not leave until she had heat . He told me the system needed to be replaced but it will hold for a little while . I asked him to quote job . He came in 5 thousand lower then one company and 2 thousand lower then another . Today he showed up at 7 am like he said he would and by noon he and Slade had removed and reinstalled a completely new system . So happy and thankful .“

“We had Charter Oak Mechanical install a Mitsubishi mini split A/C heat pump last summer and was very impressed with their work. So when are 30 year old nature gas boiler needed to be replaced this January we chose Charter Oak Mechanical. The did the replacement during two very cold days without having the heat off overnight. They take pride in their work and are very good at what they do. We are very happy with the new boiler and how they set up the heating system.“

I first met the son Mike at 7-11 in Newington when we just moved into town and he over heard us my wife and i talking to another guy about oil service, Mike came over and gave me a card and said, don't worry we'll take care of you and if the new house needs any service call us. It has been 15yrs and they are doing just that. If you need oil or any type of heating/cooling service stop searching and call this company. The best, The best all around. I also have to say they never tried to force us into a contract or automatic refueling like Vikings Oil did along with two other businesses. “Late 2019 the boiler at out Church had a catastrophic failure just as the winter cold began. First Choice Home Services, Al, stepped up to the plate to help. He found a boiler replacement but delivery was a problem because of Covid. There were delivery issues and Al was willing to travel to get the parts if needed. He quickly arranged to install the boiler and get everything working. Also, he provided some temporary heat to the building to try and keep the building somewhat warm. The basement was old, damp and dark. Al and his team made everything come together timely. He is also someone who returns your call promptly. His workmanship is the highest quality and he is highly recommended.
