“If you haven’t checked out Dixon Sports and Performance for yourself or your young athlete you need to now. Our son started back in November with an intro meeting and fitness assessment with Andre Dixon (owner and former UConn Football great). He was kind, patient and really took the time to get to know our family and my son’s athletic goals. During our first youth class we meet his Trainer and Coach Marc Santana. We cannot say enough about Marc and how he has helped our son grow and develop in the last few months. Marc is not only an amazing athletic trainer, he also has a gift with kids. He believes in each young athlete and helps them work to their maximum potential even when they are unsure of themselves. While our main goal was to keep our son engaged and active during the football off-season, he has gotten so much more. His former baseball coach now basketball coach is astonished with how much he has grown and advanced as an athlete both mentally and physically in just a few short months of working with Marc. I can’t personally speak from experience about the other trainers/coaches however I do get to watch them work with others during our time at Dixon each week and I am truly impressed with what I see. Each one is passionate about their craft and helping children and adults meet their mental and physical goals.“

“I’ve been a member of Timberhead Crossfit for a month now and my husband joined right after me. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and welcoming, taking the time to get to know each member, and making sure we are doing movements properly to avoid injury. The members are some of friendliest of any crossfit gym I’ve attended. Everyone cheers each other on, and it has a true community feel. The workouts are challenging but can be scaled to anyone’s ability, whether you’re new to working out, recovering from an injury, etc. All ages and fitness levels are welcomed and encouraged.“

“Great atmosphere for working out. Everyone who works out here is friendly, and the group setting really motivates you to work hard, without that feeling that everyone is watching you. The trainers and the other people in the class all just want people to do the best they can and get better each time. Would highly recommend to everyone from beginners to those in great shape. On top of that, the workouts have a great variety and definitely are challening in the best way“

“Rob, the owner at Revolution Sports Club is great. I started training with Rob mid September. He is professional, kind and caring. He listens to my goals and sets a pace which is comfortable for me. He is encouraging and supportive whether it is through a text message or in person. His facility is intimate enough for 3-5 people working out at once without the big gym feel. Five stars.“

“D’mario is an excellent personal trainer. His deep knowledge and understanding of biomechanics and kinesiology set him apart. He takes a lot interest in developing a workout plan specific to your goals and body type. He’s always changing workouts to keep it challenging, while keeping workouts safe and the body free from injury. “I was a client at the Cromwell location a few years ago. When I started training I was having problems with my knees. They set up a specific program for me. I felt like giving up more than once but everyone in the place was always encouraging me. I'm glad I pushed through because not only did my legs get stronger and more flexible but I lost weight and inches. I'm looking forward to becoming a member at the Glastonbury location this year. The new pricing structure makes the training extremely affordable. Can't wait to get started!“

“This is a great clean intimate facility. They have all of the modern equipment that you need to have a successful work out. They have several treadmills, barbells, weightlifting equipment and much more. They even offer personal training and almost 24 hour access to the gym. The only small thing is that the water fountain does not put out enough water to properly fill your bottle. And I don't drink Dasani which was offered from a vending machine. So bring your own water bottles in my opinion. Worth coming to get a nice workout with a large crowd.“

“Training with Jon Camacho at VidaFit is an exercise in increased flexibility, rising endurance and fabulous arms. Oh, and fun! And, the idea that there must be pain is a fallacy.
