If you're broke, tell him, I always do, so then he only does the tests he thinks will confirm his suspicions, if he's wrong he'll move on to the next test rather than run the whole battery and charge you a fortune. He's been right the first time, every time, so I get in and out quickly for minimal expense.He's not a cut-rate vet, either. Our male cat had urinary crystals (common in male cats, sometimes females too, so if yours starts peeing or pooping outside the litter box, out of nowhere, TAKE THEM IN IMMEDIATELY). Dr. Ron was able to take a quick pee sample, spin it, and put it into a brand-new machine that is not widely available at other vets. We were looking at the results with him in 20 minutes.The machine puts the images of the pee sample on the screen, identifies the types of crystals present, and circles them on screen. Without the trial-and-error that usually comes with figuring out how to treat feline urinary crystals, Dr. Ron knew immediately that 99% of the crystals were struvite, meaning our boy can't break down magnesium. Dr. Ron wrote a prescription for special magnesium-free food, and in 72 hours the crystals were gone. Freddie's been happy and healthy ever since.In the last year, he's treated our dog for a heart murmur and fluid build-up, and an injured ASL. His diagnoses and prescriptions have been spot-on and helped our dog recover her quality of life! “last week (the weekend before Christmas basically) I was hoping to get antibiotics for my dogs uti. I couldn't get ahold of anyone over the phone so I just drove to the clinic, not wanting to be that person but needing antibiotics before travelling hours away for multiple days. I was pretty disappointed to see a sign on the door saying the closed at 12 that day, and especially more disappointed since I had spoken to the vet the day before and he didn't relay to me that they'd be closing early the next day. but to my surprise Dr.Varun came through! I was about to walk into an emergency clinic and go through all the tests and 4 hours of waiting just to get antibiotics and right before I got through the door Dr varun called me and asked me to meet him at shadow hills. A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE. I can't tell you how much I love and value the staff here and the Dr. Varun himself is such a wonderful man. I'm happy I bring my dog here. he loves the whole staff and loves coming to o visiy“

“Took my dog here a few times when I had just got her as a puppy years ago to get her shots, neutered, etc. after having a really bad experience at another local vet. I felt very uncomfortable based on a few things that occurred leaving me to not trust the vet there so I got my records from them and immediately decided to take her here instead. My experience was amazing every time and it was half the price of what the other vet was trying to charge as they also claimed she had something wrong with her without running any tests (she didn't and they were just basing things off of a google search in-front of me which is what made me feel very unsettled). I ended up moving out of the area for a few years, but recently moved back and my dog had symptoms of a UTI so I decided to come back here yesterday. Once again, another great experience and this will definitely be my go-to vet. They were all absolutely great with my dog (she absolutely loved it there) and I like that they're very upfront about how much everything will cost without trying to get you to buy things that aren't necessary like other vets I've been to. They've also renovated since last time I was here years ago, looks great!“

They take the time to explain everything and answer all questions. My dog had an urgent issue and we couldn't afford to take him anywhere else. Dr. Nastro and his team recognized the urgency of the situation and accommodated us, even though this meant that him and his staff had to stay at work for 2 additional hours after the clinic closed to finish their work. I am very grateful that they were able to squeeze us in at the last minute, the day before the holiday weekend. They are closed 12/23/23-1/1/24. It's also great to know that they take walk-in vaccinations for only $20 each.“
