“This is a great business. They are always friendly, helpful, and professional whether you need an appointment, prescription refill, or just have a question, they are there to help. Our veterinarian was Dr Navia. She is a superb clinician, has great surgical skills and is very gentle with animals. She treated our dog for a bad heart valve and heart failure over a couple of years. When his disease progressed and we decided on euthanasia to prevent suffering she was very skillful at the procedure and provided us emotional support as well. Everyone at the facility is service oriented. You will never feel like you are bothering them and never feel like they are in it for the money. A simply great group of people. As a retired family doctor I give them my best recommendation,“

“We should have left a review when we first saw Dr. Lynn a couple of years ago. We had taken our cat to his primary vet for a regular checkup when they looked into his mouth and told us that it looked like he had cracked his tooth / line of blood at gum line... but sent us home to wait for their cleaning appt / x-rays that was about 2 months away? No. I searched online until I specifically found a dentist, I found Dr. Lynn. Marlene scheduled us almost immediately. Our first meeting with Dr. Lynn, we instantly knew she was someone you could trust. She let us know immediately that our cat was not having a crisis, most likely food dye (eye roll to primary vet... never again for specialty work). Fast forward to today, we just had our second cleaning with Dr. Lynn. Our cat is a pure breed, he is very smart and very sensitive so it can be a very difficult time for all of us. But with Marlene's attention to detail and pre/post appointment reviews and check-in's, and Dr. Lynn's exceptional work (we appreciate the pre/post tooth images, thorough analysis and resulting, noticeable clean, white teeth) we just feel so good knowing our baby is in the best hands, and that we have someone we can trust long-term. “The staff is wonderful, and Drs. Gorsky and Amini have been wonderful. Dr. Lam seems to have done a good job on my puppy's neutering this past Monday, but there was a serious breakdown in communication when my puppy began to show some distress after 48 hours. It took a while to get it addressed which was pretty disturbing, but Erica Wise, the administrator (I think) contacted me and assured me that the issues involved are being addressed and that the welfare of my animal is getting the attention that is appropriate. I will be continuing my puppy's care with Modern Animal.“

“The doctors are great here. We have been going to them 15 years and I feel like they have added years to the lives of my dogs. I had two labs live to be 18 and 17 when both diagnosed with bad forms of cancer. I think the kindest thing they ever did was to do surgery on a little poodle we found that was a mess. Tumor covering her lower body they examined her and said it is not pretty but we can remove it! No promises made but were straight with us that if they did not think they could save they would tell us. They did the surgery and we had a new dog that gave us joy for five more years. The last thing is they are also very compassionate when it is time to say goodbye even when you don't want to. All this makes them the best vet combo ever.“

“I have been going to Dr Tang since the mid '90's, when I had a pet cockatiel with my two sons, and more recently since 2007, when my husband and I got our first dog. He saved our dog, Spencer about 15 years ago. He'd had a seizure out of the blue, when he'd accidentally eaten rat poison outside without our knowing it. Dr Tang not only saved Spencer, but that dog went on to live another 10 years almost! Most recently our dog Popper has some autoimmune disease, and Dr Tang has seen us almost 10 times over the past 2 months, trying his best to figure out how to treat this 7-year-old (young!) dog. We have all the confidence in Dr Tang's ability, expertise, and most importantly in his compassion. As others have mentioned, Dr Tang doesn't have great bedside manner with the humans who visit his practice, but he so obviously cares about our pets (his patients, as he said this morning), that I will keep going to him forever. And he is so reasonable, I sometimes wonder how he stays in business! God Bless Dr Tang!“

“We recommend this place completely! Dr. Ancu and the team at Big Tujunga Vet Hospital came to our kitty's rescue when he needed it most. When our kitty, Conway, got sick and stopped eating, they got him in right away and quickly diagnosed the issue (he was in a diabetic ketoacidosis state as he had undiagnosed, sudden onset of diabetes). Along with a host of other issues, our kitty had a grim outlook. Dr. Ancu provided us with so much helpful information to make the best decision for our sweet Conway, and we decided to move forward with treatment.

After 3 days of care in the vet hospital, Dr. Ancu and team stabilized Conway, he started eating, and we were able to bring him home. While it has been a road to recovery, we're now 2.5 months post emergency and the continued care from the whole team has been so impressive! We appreciate how thoughtful, thorough and caring everyone is, and we feel like we have a fully supportive team behind Conway's recovery.
