Bad skiing accident on Feb 6th - 7 broken vertebrae with surgery (extremely lucky I can walk), 2 broken ribs, will need a shoulder replacement, and a TBI (with need to sedate me for a day). The pain I was in made my previous kidney stones experience seem pleasant. Fantastic care at Barton Hospital , South Lake Tahoe. As a former LifeFlight pilot, I spent a lot of time in an ER so it was easy for me to recognize truly great care.
I got my nails done here for a wedding several weeks ago, and I have NEVER had nails last this long with no chipping or peeling. I’ve been baking and doing a ton of yard work but they still look just as good as when they were put on. Seriously great work!
I have been in chronic pain for three years after a surgeon put A LOT of mesh in me. I have visited a physical therapist and a very good masseuse for months with almost no results. I was unable to empty my bladder because of the mesh and scar tissue and the tightness of the stuff was affecting my posture.. I found it difficult to stand straight and had chest pain where it was attached to my diaphragm. One trip to Juliette and my bladder was emptying and I can move!!!! Second trip even better!!!! I had almost given up hope and today I have hope!!! I will continue to see her she has changed my life!! Can't recommend more she's wonderful!

We worked with Staging the Sierras on the interior design and furnishing of our home in Tahoe City and they were wonderful. The team is very responsive and thoughtful. They are excellent at taking all aspects of use into account while designing a space that is both beautiful and functional. They also worked very well with us on things that we wanted to choose or procure ourselves and were very good at incorporating that into their work. They are also very thoughtful of time and budget and extremely efficient in their work. After seeing what they accomplished in the early stages, I never worried about them using time efficiently. I would definitely work with them again on another project.

Went in for a trim while on vacation and ended up getting half my hair dyed lavender! Melissa did such a great job- she was very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgable. (after probable spending too much time perusing the yelp reviews, but hey, that's what I do!) Lillian is welcoming with her infectious smile and supportive attitude. Her place is imecabley clean, but also offers a coziness to it. I was in town for my son's wedding, and honestly hadn't done anything to my nails since before COVID. No problem for Liliian! With a little bit of this and a little bit of that, she had them looking fabulous. She has an array color choices, and as mentioned in other reviews, she uses no harsh chemicals. I actually received a plethora of compliments at the wedding and the reception. That sure made me feel beautiful and confident. Lillian, I can't wait to get my nails done by you again next time I'm in SLT. I won't even need an excuse this time- your talent in giving a wonderful manicure and your infectiously positive personality will pull me in. I never let people touch my hair (have had too many people mess it up), but Jesse absolutely changed that! She is so kind and gentle(i have a sensitive scalp). She also knows how to give you exactly what you ask for. 10/10, would recommend!!

I tried Paradise Beauty Salon mostly for its easy location. After my appointment, I was thrilled with my hairstyle and the price! Eva took the time to talk with me and find out exactly what I wanted to do with my hair. She made great suggestions and followed through with a great cut and weave. I love the atmosphere and friendliness of the ladies who work there. I highly recommend this jewel of a salon!

Girls weekend in South Lake Tahoe. We decided to get some matching tattoos and gave Lake Monster Tattoo a quick call to make an appt. Caleb did an amazing job working with each of us to modify the tattoo for what we wanted.

This company is great. Quick to return my call and come out to my house. Dave was very patient and knowledgeable, answering all my questions and providing me all the information to keep my septic system in working order. He also took the time to explain how the system works, what issues to look out for, and how to install better vents.
I never leave reviews but felt compelled to after today… these are good and competent people. They quickly went to work fixing a leaking toilet that involved them having to remove some of the downstairs ceiling. You would never have known - they cleaned the debris so thoroughly, put down a sheet so they didn’t track mud into the house, and even helped shovel part of my snowy driveway. To top it off, they were kind (my dog approves) and talked me through everything they were doing.
Geo from Chavez plumbing was awesome, helped me figure out leak fast and answered all my questions. Hard to find good trades in South Lake, would recommend Chavez for sure.
I had a jammed food disposer which several family members had tried but failed to fix. I bought a new one to be installed but the tech fixed the existing one back to good as new. I'm returning the one I bought for a refund.

Dan is an excellent electrician and was able to come out the same day for the initial diagnosis. He quickly identified an issue that other electricians had failed to figure out. He was very thorough, especially given that my house is extremely old, and took the time to walk through everything to make sure it was safe.

Hatch was great! We had to replace our incoming electrical panel per our insurance company, and Hatch got us a prompt quote and fit us into their schedule so we could finish the work before our insurance company was going to drop us. The timeline was short and they also helped out at the end by getting us the invoice quickly so we could show our insurance co. Thanks very much to the team at Hatch!

There were dark stains on the carpets of the house we purchased a few years ago, and we've added to it with a new puppy and various spills since then. We thought we might have to replace them since they're light in color, but Jay did an amazing job getting rid of all of the stains and spots. Also, there was no smell at all from the products he used. Jay was very friendly and efficient, and I will definitely use Custom Floor Care again in the future.

We live in town and wanted to support a local business, so we stopped by Alpine’s showroom. The staff were incredibly helpful, offering both a wide selection and the expertise to guide us to exactly what we needed. The carpet we chose had to be special ordered, and Alpine kept us well-informed throughout the process. The installation went great, and the new carpet looks fantastic in our home. We’re very happy with the experience and will definitely return the next time we need new flooring!
We are very pleased with our new hardwood flooring, baseboards and tile! The installers did a great job with a few custom touches included. The work was scheduled prior to some other construction which created some unanticipated issues. A new staircase that projected into our family room just did not look good to us once flooring was installed, and a partial foundation in one downstairs room needed help. Neither of these were originally anticipated, but James offered solutions. We needed to purchase some existing materials, wait for delivery and installer schedules, but are very satisfied with how things turned out. We have more design ideas, and if we proceed we will gladly call James to Participate.
Tancon construction did an amazing job on the house's new porch addition. This addition was a difficult build to tie into an existing, old construction wall and zach's company did a perfect job with excellent attention to detail. Planning on building a garage addition this coming summer and there is no other construction company that I would consider.
I highly recommend tancon inc for any construction project and would give 10 stars if it was possibe!

He answered questions and helped out with issues at my house outside of the work he performed which was exterior painting. The painting quality was outstanding. The prep work was exceptional. Cody’s tree service. Frank Cody came to our home 5-26 to inspect and give us a bid to remove 2 very tall trees in our backyard and trim another tree in the front yard. Frank was very knowledgeable and extremely polite. He explained the condition of the trees and process to remove them. His crew arrived 6-1 right at the time agreed. Frank’s crew lead by Andrew completed an absolutely fantastic job. They are extremely skilled in their profession and also very polite. When the job was completed our backyard was actually cleaner than when they started, I was amazed. I have a difficult time walking so they set aside backyard decor for me so no damage occurred. I had 2 other local tree removal company’s come out. 1 extremely high bid and the other never got back to us. I have already referred Cody’s tree service to another local and will in the future only call Cody’s tree service.

My son broke his tooth on Saturday. I left a voicemail and received a call back within minutes. Although doctor genasci was out of town, he came in early the next morning to take care of my son's broken tooth. The repair is so seamless that you can't even tell it happened. We're not local residents, but if we lived here, this dentist would definitely be our choice.
Had a crown fall out on a Wednesday evening, and they were kind enough to fit me in on Thursday. That's awesome, and Dr N was great. They make new zirconia crowns in-house in about 3 hours, so no waiting for it to arrive from an out of town lab, or requiring another follow-up visit. Fit perfectly. He's my new dentist.
Dr. Langen, Angie, and their team have always been such a great help throughout the years. They really listen to you and explain thoroughly why the pain is there and what they do/why they do it to help you recover. Highly recommend for everyone.
I have had chronic lower back pain for most of my life and going to a chiropractor has always relieved that pain. Erin is exceptional when it comes to relieving pain and as a matter of fact, she completely got rid of the pain the last time I was there. But, due to me having to sleep on my back (I recently had hip surgery) for the last 2 months, the pain is back. I can't wait to get back in!
Dr. Hayworth is extremely knowledgeable and great at explaining exactly what's causing your pain or issues. He does a great job in both treating your body in office and providing exercises/ stretches that you can do at home. Highly recommended. Look forward to my next visit.
Every time I ruin my body during endurance training, Jason always manages to put me back together quickly. I prefer traditional chiropractics (no pain, no gain) instead of the more minimalist approach, and Jason gets in there and gets it done. Both Castos are super nice. Can't go wrong seeing these guys.

Dr. Borges continues to amaze me. Had stabbing happen spine pain from what I thought was a pinched nerve. He pretty quickly diagnosed it as a dislodged joint next to my sacrum, put it in place and I felt about 90% better in just a few hours. He always listens intently and explains what he will do and then takes questions. If you’re looking for an extremely experienced chiropractor that truly cares about your well being and believes in his practice, Dr Borges is your guy!

BEST COUPLES MASSAGE EVER! My husband and I went to Camellia Massage on our honeymoon in Lake Tahoe and we both agreed it was THE BEST massage either of us have genuinely ever had! I had the pleasure of receiving my massage from Jenny, her warm inviting smile and gracious host nature was just the tip of the experience! She was able to give me a light pressure massage without being too hard or too light and (in my opinion) that’s incredibly hard to do well and she did an AMAZING job! She was very intuitive spending the massage on areas that had tension or knots. I could tell she was very knowledgeable about the muscle groups. And the techniques she used felt GREAT—my husband needs to read up on those ASAP! My husband got his massage from Aya! He said she was absolutely amazing! He said she was also very intuitive focusing on tension, trouble areas and knots. He said she used enough pressure to feel nice without being too much, which he also says is hard to do because he’s a bigger, more muscular build (6 feet tall, 200 lbs.) He liked that Aya & Jenny kept the talking to a minimum so we could enjoy the quiet, which was nice. He said that his massage was “very respectable” and that he was “so relaxed I’m vocally an octave lower”! The oil they used smelled wonderful. I loved the overall cleanliness of the whole place! The hot stones felt wonderful, they really helped our muscles relax. The decor was current and cute, the music was relaxing and at a reasonable volume and the massage table & sheets were very comfortable and relaxing! We got little candies as treat on the way out and I just thought that was the cherry on top! Way to literally leave guests with a ‘good taste in their mouth afterwards’! Cute! I would absolutely come back! We considered coming back in every day of the vacation it was so SO nice! Genuinely the BEST massages we have ever had! Called last minute because it had been a while for me having a massage and was in dire need. Have lived here my entire life and used a different massage therapist. After my conversation the lady I believe was the owner listened and was able to fit me in the following day. She told me I had Bee the following morning. I had low expectations because I was in quite a bit of pain and it had been a long time since I had a massage.
What a great experience. Bee didn’t know me and was very careful at first but quickly understood my issues and gave a deep tissue. I would like to say healed and good but my issue was not a one and done. What I will say is a truly pleasant surprise. Excellent massage by a true professional and I was eager to book my next session. Great experience and people that really care. I highly recommend Mountain Soulscape and Bee.

Great experience with Lauren. Hired her for a surprise massage for my daughter at her bachelorette weekend. My daughter loved it so much she asked Lauren to come back the next day to give her sisters massages. Professional, timely, easy to communicate with and honest (I initially overpaid her)! She is a gem, excellent skills!

I have been in chronic pain for three years after a surgeon put A LOT of mesh in me. I have visited a physical therapist and a very good masseuse for months with almost no results. I was unable to empty my bladder because of the mesh and scar tissue and the tightness of the stuff was affecting my posture.. I found it difficult to stand straight and had chest pain where it was attached to my diaphragm. One trip to Juliette and my bladder was emptying and I can move!!!! Second trip even better!!!! I had almost given up hope and today I have hope!!! I will continue to see her she has changed my life!! Can't recommend more she's wonderful!
After flying and driving many hours going everywhere we possibly could in Tahoe my back and body was beat. A massage was a must. Felt a lot better after massage.
I went in as a walk in, didn't have to wait and got a very professional and relaxing experience. Can't wait to go back. I'll probably still do a walk in then too. I picked this place because of the name and the excellent reviews.
Tracie is amazing! I moved to Tahoe recently and was desperately in need of a very good massage. Having been a massage therapist myself for many years, I am quite particular about the quality of massage I receive. Thanks to some lovely people who wrote stellar reviews about Tracie, I booked a session with her. And let me tell you, Tracie has incredible hands!!! She has a very warm and attentive presence and will have you floating out of your session on cloud 9!
These ladies are really, really good! I’ve come here about 10 times and they are wonderful. They know muscles, pressure points, do an awesome massage for less than many places charging twice as much. Today, I had a 90 minute massage and it was perfect pressure, soothing music, waterfall sound in background. Clean, and friendly. I’ve also done just their foot massage after grueling hike and it was very relaxing and good. But their full body massages are great value! I return here time and again as there’s no place better— and I’ve tried a bunch of places here in Tahoe! My sons love them too and they like very deep tissue. They also have hot stone and they do wonderfully with them!
Melinda gave me my life back. After a year of tests and doctors appointments with western medicine and no diagnosis or treatment plan i finally went to elevated wellness. Within a week we knew what was wrong and had a treatment plan. After a couple more months of treatment I was feeling better than I had in years! My only regret is i didn't go to her sooner!
Gina is such a caring and thorough practitioner. After some negative experiences at another acupuncture clinic in town, I got a recommendation to go see Gina. I was not disappointed! She really takes her time with each of her patients and never makes you feel rushed. This is a small detail but this clinic used cloth sheets versus making you lay on paper. It makes you feel so much more relaxed versus feeling like you’re getting a physical at your doctor’s office. Do yourself a favor and go see Gina for any of your health concerns/ health promotion!
