“I can't say enough great things about Tech Air and the owner Colin Hallatt. I needed to replace my 28-year-old 5-ton HVAC system and carefully interviewed and received quotes from 4 vendors. In addition to being very knowledgeable in our discussions, Colin was the only vendor who realized our current system with only one return vent upstairs was poorly configured. Working with Colin, I chose a 4-ton 2-stage heat pump with a back-up gas furnace for very cold days and when PG&E rates spike after 3pm. Other vendors tried to steer me towards an unnecessary 5-ton configuration with fully variable speeds at much greater cost with little added value. Tech Air's installation team, primarily JC and Rudy, were great to work with and extremely neat and courteous. They found a very inconspicuous spot to add a second return downstairs to improve the performance of my new system. I've had the system for 4 months and have used both the heating and cooling settings. The new system heats and cools my house much more effectively than my old 5-ton system while operating at lower costs due to the 2-stage configuration and more modern equipment.
