“I rarely write reviews unless the service was absolutely exceptional. What that said, Blue Jay Construction definitely deserve a 5 star review (honestly, he deserves 10 stars). We were initially referred to Hector (owner) & his team by our pool builder (JM Pools) to do all the masonry, tile, decking, lighting, plants, etc.

In the pool building world, there’s so many horror stories about going over budget, prolonged waiting, expectations vs reality, etc. We didn’t experience any of that working with Hector. Quite the opposite. We came in exactly on budget, finished earlier than expected, & we are absolutely thrilled with the results.

I had a decent idea of what I wanted but Hector gave excellent suggestions on multiple design choices. I’m pretty picky when it comes to details & Hector never steered us wrong. His guys were always on time, very polite, never left work unfinished, & were genuinely talented at their craft. “*On December 21, 2023, there was big rainstorm in Santa Barbara. The entire side yard area, laundry room, and 1 downstairs apartment were flooded. Two adjacent downstairs apartments had flooding, too.*We called Foundation Technology, and the crew drove from Santa Clarita, arriving within 3 hours! They dug trenches in the side yard to divert the water to the front yard and out to the street.*A few weeks later, the guys came back and installed a new drainage system AND a sump pump.*This past week, we had a great deal of rain, and the system worked GREAT.*Yesterday, February 4, 2024, the major storm hit Santa Barbara with tremendous force.*The street in front of my apartment was flooded from sidewalk to sidewalk. The adjoining creek rose to a level I had never seen before.*BUT, thanks to Foundation Technology's fantastic new drainage system, we had no problems. Everything worked beautifully!*I HIGHLY, 100% recommend Foundation Technology to anyone and everyone who has drainage/flooding issues around their home, apartment building, business.“

“I UPDATE MAY 2026 One warning went to turn on the heater and everything went haywire call Jeremy and Tommy Tommy responded immediately came and switched out. The thermostats took care of the problem and just like the first time they came out no charge. and everything’s running awesome I would like to add these photos of a job That took two man crew less than eight hours, including lunch break to complete a total HVAC furnace system. I believe they went above and beyond to get everything right and professionally complete And these photos are proof of What a professional job should look like when it’s done right? I would like to add after six months the furnace seemed to shut down. I asked for a representative Tommy was sent and took care of the problem in less than five minutes. I can’t say enough about this company they’re awesome and they answer their phones. Lol“

“We had Randal do our living room remodel. It was a big project which included filling in a sunken room to make the floor level, removing 2 fireplaces and adding several windows. Randy's team was there for it all. Demo was loud, but they were as clean as possible and construction moved quickly. They never disappeared on us for weeks and Stephen kept letting us know what the schedule was and when it would get done. The minor punch list was done quickly and our project finished ahead of schedule. As Randy says, he isn't the cheapest, but if you are looking for quality work, good materials, solid project management, and great looking results, we haven't found anyone better.“
