“I hired UGC for a complete home remodel and addition as well as an ADU. It was a huge project that I knew was going to be stressful and so I wanted to hire someone that was going to be reliable. I was referred to UGC by one of my friends who worked with Carlos installing solar. I met with Carlos and few other contractors. Carlos was professional and fair priced. The fact that Carlos was going to take care of everything was what really drew me in. I needed plans so he had an architect that heard my vision and drew out different plans from me to choose from. Carlos and his team took care of everything from submitting paperwork to county, obtaining permits and setting up construction fences and porter potties for workers (which I hear some contractors make you pay out of pocket). I didn't have to worry about anything which was great. Carlos and his team did everything that was included in the contract (therefore contract is very important) I did have to pay for extra things I wanted like extra lights installed, upgraded flooring etc but pricing was discussed beforehand and it was all up to me if I wanted it or not. Carlos includes the basic packaging so for my ADU I got everything that was included with him and it still turned out really nice. For my main house I wanted to get prettier bathroom vanities etc so I got those on my own but at the end was credited for my expenses. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend Carlos and his team!“

“I was looking for a good cabinet maker with reasonable prices and I was happy we found Molina Cabinets. They really lived up to their high rating. We contracted Omar and his crew to build a new kitchen Island, new cabinets for the living room. Since we were going to replace the kitchen counters with Quartz and Omar told me they also do those, we contracted him to do that as well. They do outstanding work and on time. We added a couple of kitchen cabinets which they also finished on time and made our kitchen look modern and new. Omar and his team are very professional but also easy going and gave us excellent recommendations to the brick aground the living room fireplace. He recommended 4'x2' tile that ended up looking amazing and did not cost very much. At the end of the job, there were a few minor workmanships things that we wanted fix, which they did quickly and at no extra cost. We were extremely happy with their work and and very happy with our "new" kitchen, and living room. We plan to use Molina Cabinets to upgrade our master bathroom after the holidays. We recommend them for high quality work at reasonable prices.“

“My name is Lorena Quiroga. I have been a thirty year resident of Burbank, CA. and have done about a dozen building projects. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend JP General Contractors. Jesus Pena and his entire team, including his subcontractors (plumbers, roofers, electricians, etc., ) are excellent. It took us literally almost 3 years to get our ADU permits for a 3 bed room 2 bath through the City of Burbank. (I've had building permits with City of L.A. who are slow but Burbank just took an EXTRA long time.) We got six contractor bids in total and went with Mr. Pena because my neighbor down the street had two ADU's built by Mr. Pena and his company . He had raving reviews about his work. I went inside the completed ADU's, both large units and loved the attention to detail and craftsmanship of his exceptional work. His bid for the job was competitive and I'm absolutely glad we went with him. Building permits and approvals are a very slow process and it can be VERY frustrating but Mr. Pena and his project manager Cesar helped us through it. Nancy and Kathleen in his office were prompt in communicating with us every step of the way from scheduled city inspections, design options, scheduled payments, etc. Of all the contractor bids we got, JP General Builders required the least money down to start the job, which meant Mr. Pena put in his own money to start the job. (One contractor wanted $100k up front with a completion date of six months. Mr. Pena was less up front AND four months to complete the job. ) JP General Builders never cut corners and safety was always tops. I loved our overall design. Mr. Jesus Pena and JP General Builders are the way to go. We highly recommend him and will be be using them in our next building project!“
