“I called Lewis Plumbing for a drainage issue in my kitchen sink. When the Lewis Plumbing technician called Isaac came in, the water was passing through, just slowly. The sink was still usable. When he left, the kitchen line was blocked completely. I payed $900, and the problem was not only resolved, it magnified in proportion. I now cannot use the kitchen sink (and dishwasher) and have major repairement project on my laps. The Lewis plumber seemed to not know what he was doing. When he left, he forgot his equipment (large drain cleaner) in my shower, when I call them to take this out of my house he returned to get it, and after he left I had to screw in the drain opening myself. They charge $165 per hour, and he charged me for 4 hours work while he was in my house for little over 3 hours. Isaac also lied on the invoice claiming the kitchen drain was blocked from the beginning. Shame on you, Lewis Plumbing. It's the most overpriced plumbing company in my area, and I came to them because my HOA recommended it. Reading the reviews on Yelp I see many people had bad experiences with them. I wish I researched them before choosing this company.

An update: the company manager called and offered to send a technician at no cost to try to correct the issue. A senior technician came in and fixed the problem within an hour. He also brought back the check I gave them, and issued a new invoice, for $390, which seems very fair. The technician was super nice, and clearly very experienced. The bottom line: the company clearly stands up to its reputation, and makes amends if anything goes wrong. Frankly, I did not expect this, and am more than happy with the resolution of the situation.“

“I did my research for general contractor.Shane from Associated SB was honest and promised to do the job fast within my time budget , and on top of it had the best bid.The team worked hard around the clock .Always clean the house after them. They did the kitchen remodel and painting all around .Great job with great price !!!“

“We had an excellent experience working with Ray and his crew on a duplex we own. The project involved a substantial amount of work, including correcting a water intrusion issue where soil was in contact with the exterior stucco, installing a weep screed, repairing and replacing stucco, matching paint, repairing a leaking window sill, removing mold-affected drywall, inspecting wall cavities for mold, treating affected areas, and restoring the interior walls and paint.

The quality of the work was excellent, but what impressed us even more was Ray's professionalism and communication throughout the project. We live out of town and were unable to be on site, so we needed someone we could trust to manage the work independently. Ray kept us informed every step of the way with regular updates, photos, and phone calls whenever decisions needed to be made. He handled everything smoothly and earned our complete trust.

What really stood out, however, was the way Ray and his crew handled a very challenging situation with our tenants. The tenants frequently made unreasonable demands, criticized the crew, and at times raised their voices over issues that were outside the scope of the project. Throughout it all, Ray and his team remained calm, professional, and respectful. They consistently de-escalated tense situations and treated everyone with patience and courtesy.

It's easy to find contractors who can do good work. It's much harder to find contractors who do good work, communicate exceptionally well, and conduct themselves professionally under pressure. Ray and his crew did all three. We would hire them again without hesitation and recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor they can genuinely trust.“

“We worked with Alex on two separate projects for a bathroom remodel and removal of an ornamental wall. He and his workers are all a pleasure to work with. It’s clear they value creating and maintaining a good relationship with their clients. The work is very high quality. We get compliments on our bathroom pretty much every time a guest uses it. My only critique is that some details fell through the cracks and caused the project to go longer than expected. That being said, they were happy to fix all the mistakes and ultimately we got exactly what we wanted. We will certainly be using them in the future.“

“I am delighted with the service I received today from Jaime of Carroll Plumbing & Maintenance. He expertly resolved our plumbing issues of removal and replacement of rotted drain collars with toe taps in our two bathtubs. He was knowledgeable, highly experienced, thorough and precise. The rotted condition of the drain collars prevented using the customary drain removal tool. Jaime carefully cut slots in the drain collars to facilitate their removal without damaging or breaking the drain pipes, and attached the metal collars into the plastic pipes with no cross-threading. Jaime completed the job in substantially less time than the time estimates and pricing quoted to me by other plumbing companies. Additionally, Jaime explained why he recommended not replacing the anode rod in our 6-year-old water heater which was a task I had requested, and I confidently accepted his advice. I strongly recommend Jaime and Carroll Plumbing & Maintenance.“

“In September we discovered a water leak under the kitchen sink. It was a mess. A plumber quickly corrected the leak but the damage was done. I called several reclamation and restoration places that service the Santa Barbara area. Some were immediately identified as obviously incompetent and a few showed up to provide estimates. The estimates were all over the place and made zero sense…except for one company QwikResponse Reclamation.

Arriving on time to assess the situation, JR immediately provided me with confidence they are the right company with his professional manner and approach. He was able to assess the situation and provide a full reclamation and repair quotation within a day. Half of our kitchen cabinets were destroyed and drywall had to be replaced. A scary proposition for a homeowner. Sadly insurance would not cover this problem (that’s a whole sorted story) but JR provided a thorough quotation I thought was reasonable given the work required and he gave us confidence no over runs would occur. Best of all: ALL work is done in house. No trades are outsourced!! Wow.

Once we started the work in October each crew of professional trades responsible for the specific tasks were on time, polite, professional, and did exactly what was described in the quote. At the end of each day I was given a progress report and told what would be happening next. Upon completion everything looked and worked as it was before the problem occurred. From start to completion the whole process took about 7 days. Absolutely amazing service.
