He helped me pick out the perfect frames and a pair of clip on sunglasses that are really cool and retro. The frames are very unique as he works with small vendors. His space is also stunning! It feels like you're walking into museum. I literally did not want to leave. I got progressive lenses, which has completely changed my driving experience so that I can look at the road and Waze without having to take my reading glasses on and off. It's a game changer! “Dr. Respicio has been taking are of us since 1998ish. We started with him in Daly City and now receive care in Hercules. We moved to Nevada 3 years ago and have continued to make the drive to see him because there really is not a better eye doctor on the planet. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Respicio, his office, his staff, everything is top notch. I tried someplace else last year, closer to home, highly recommended, etc. I will be driving the 3.5 hours until Dr. Respicio retires.“

“I've been going to Alan's business since middle school and it's like visiting a trusted family member every time. There's things people need to understand before walking into the store:- Alan has been a skilled optician for 50+ years- He's not going to steer you towards Gucci/Prada etc. but he will steer you to brands that are high quality, not 3D printed or dumped out in a factory in China and last for many years- He will give you a blunt and honest opinion of how it looks on you and if it fits your face well- You should call ahead and schedule an appointment because Alan does this out of love for his clients, not to make money- His work is not cheap, but stretched out over the life of the frames, it's worth it- He has to deal with downtown Berkeley crazies off the street coming in and causing trouble, so introduce yourself, be open to advice, and be patient.“

“My family and I have been patients here for many years and love Dr. Milner and his staff! Their optician, Vidi, is amazing! Vidi is warm, professional, knowledgeable, and patient. She always understands what I'm looking for and is so kind in helping me pick frames (which takes me two trips sometimes so her patience is amazing lol) and is great at explaining why certain frames will or won't work with progressive lenses for your face shape. I never feel rushed with Vidi and feel like I'm talking with an old friend. She also answers all my insurance questions in a way that's clear and easy to understand. She is an absolute doll and is the cherry on top of a great optometry office.“
