Michael is candid about the repairs. This means if the appliance is worth fixing, then he will repair it. If not he will tell you the honest truth about your appliance that being repairable. Additionally, he is prompt and notifies you when he’s on his way.
When I need an appliance repair, I call him first before purchasing a new appliance. He has worked on my Mom’s refrigerator which will last for another 15-20 years and her Kitchen Aid dishwasher dishwasher which required a dispenser repair because I turned the knob the wrong way. Michael looked at my washing machine of 28 years and stated that he couldn’t fix it and today he fixed my 17 year old GE Profile refrigerator which will last another 10-15 years. I have never called him back after he repaired my appliances. He comes once and works his magic and my appliances are repaired. When I have another appliance that needs repair, I call RepairBest.

I looked on Yelp and saw that Whittier Small Appliance and Vacuum Repair also repairs lamps so I could get two repairs done at the same location. The technician that helped me was very friendly and gave me a quote for the lamp repair and he said that he would call me with a quote for the vacuum tune up after an inspection. I got a call with a very fair price quote for the vacuum a couple of hours later. By the next day both items were done and ready for pick up. The lamp works again and the vacuum glides more easily over carpet. I highly recommend this business for appliance and vacuum repair. Their prices are reasonable and the work is done quickly. “Whittier Refrigeration was Highly recommended to us on our Whittier/SFS FB group. Our washer stopped working and our warranty expired. I called Joaquin this morning and he had someone out within 2 hours. He found the problem and fixed it right on the spot. I was a little nervous because it is a front loader and HE and I know they can be expensive to repair so when he told me how much he was going to charge my mouth fell open, I was so grateful. I cannot believe they've been there for over 40 years. Well they have our business we will definitely go there for any appliance repair they also sell used appliances so we will definitely always check with them first. I cannot say enough about how happy we are with their service.“

“My fridge started smelling like burning candle wax and I looked online to see that it was likely needing someone to check the innerds as it could be a fire hazard.

I got an immediate quote (using your app to request) from Colette for a $69 diagnosis fee that would be applied towards the repair. I trusted the reviews here and the great customer service response and so booked it. They were free the next day, with a two-hour window given for arrival.

Matt called about 1/2 hour before arriving to let me know he was on his way. He arrived on time, and got right to work. Diagnosed as likely just needing to clean the compressor out as it was SUPER GRODY underneath my fridge (I was mortified!). I told Matt how grateful I would be if that were all because I had been shopping for a new fridge and the choices and costs were overwhelming and take days to have installed in many cases. He said he REALLY didn't think I would need that. Looking at the dirty condenser made him pretty sure it's the only culprit.

GOD, that was great news, but I thought it was too good to be true and this was likely to then find the need for replacement parts... NOT THE CASE! Matt was honest in his easy-to-address diagnosis, and didn't try to sell me anything unneeded. Just the job I needed at a reasonable price ($175 all told).

Matt took the back panels off and vacuumed SO thoroughly, went to the front and removed that grill to clean the front section, then cleaned up the floor (ugh - so embarrassed!), put it all back together, moved the fridge back into position, and made sure all was working correctly. He told me my setting was at the lowest and I may want to check it now that it was working as God intended. He also warned that the smell may take a few days to go away, but if not to call them back.

And they take Venmo (along with Zelle and one other...I forgot which).
