She's extremely knowledgeable, explaining why I had certain sensations and pains based on my body's physiology. I also found the exercises effective. I have progressed well in range of motion, strength, and pain reduction. I'm climbing and doing yoga again, in a way that seemed impossible when when started. I highly recommend Emily!“

460 Boulevard Way #2d, Oakland“My experience at Renew Physical Therapy was fantastic, and having “graduated” from my visits a month ago, it’s clear to me that my back problems have subdued and are in the most controlled state they’ve been in years.
I was paired with Josh who I trusted almost immediately, and after a few sessions it was clear he was a good match for me and great PT in general. He was able to be almost casual or informal, while being professional at the same time. He took the time to get to know me and my issues, and his knowledge about the subject was evident. I was impressed and will be forever thankful.
The facility administrators were also great. I incorrectly documented one of my appointments and ended up accidentally no-showing, but instead of getting annoyed or charging a fee, they worked with me to reschedule quickly and efficiently. They were kind and personable, and I also really liked how quickly they responded to text messages.
It may not seem like a big deal but it was also convenient that there were always parking options outside too.
I would strongly recommend this business. And while I hope I don’t have a reason to go back, it’s comforting knowing they’re close by.“

15 Crow Canyon Ct Ste 110, San Ramon“In a world where things are becoming increasingly impersonal, I can't express how refreshing it was to visit Dr. Bateman.
James runs his own practice, provides personalized attention, and is incredibly knowledgeable. I went in for some balance-related issues, and he was extremely helpful in resolving them. James also takes into account how anxiety and other social factors can contribute to symptoms, which made me feel even more understood and cared for. He takes his time during appointments, and I truly appreciate his thorough and thoughtful approach.
Highly recommend!“

130 La Casa Via 94598, Building 3, Ste 111, Walnut Creek“Although I am a Kaiser patient, they do not have enough pelvic floor physical therapists, so when I asked for physical therapy to help with stress incontinence (no, Kegels weren't the solution for me), they referred me to PHRC. I was able to get in for my first appointment quickly thanks to the friendly office staff. Melinda Fontaine, PT, DPT, was my assigned therapist and I cannot say enough how thankful I am for that. She is warm and open and so very knowledgeable in her specialty. I felt immediately at ease and was able to share with her my symptoms and what I hoped to achieve with therapy. She listened intently and without judgement, asked questions, performed a physical exam, and then set up a treatment plan for me. After demonstrating each exercise, she would then watch me perform them until she was confident I knew how to do them correctly. At each appointment after, she again would ask questions and make adjustments as necessary. I noticed improvement in my symptoms by my second appointment! I have been very vocal in telling my friends, family, colleagues - anyone who I think may benefit - how wonderful Melinda is and about the good and necessary work that is being done at PHRC. And now I'm telling you.“

1431 Oakland Blvd # 215, Walnut Creek“I had a mountain bike accident years ago, and believed chiropractic care was the best course for my physical health despite still suffering from regular pain. Thankfully, my chiropractor referred me to Clayton Francis for an evaluation to see if Clayton could help me. I've been seeing Clayton now for almost three years and feel better than I have in many years. He explained to me why I still had the pain from the bike accident, and gave me exercises to help develop the surrounding muscles. Clayton explained to me why my back hurt (I was wearing bad shoes), he showed me how to take care of my feet so exercise would be more beneficial, and he's taught me many more things that are invaluable. When I first saw Clayton 3 years ago, I was severely stressed (loss of job, death of a parent after years of caregiving) and in a great deal of pain just about everywhere. At that point, I needed to see him weekly or every other week to get stabilized. Now, I only see him once a month. If you need help finding out how a mystery pain originated, and how to fix it, see Clayton. If you have chronic pain from an old injury like me, go see Clayton. He's truly a magician!“

403 49th St suite a, Oakland“Amy and Iris are the two PT's that I've seen at Back to Life Physical Therapy; they both are very knowledgable, and thorough in their explanations and guidance. In addition to their abundant knowledge in the specific area of pelvic floor, the extra care and time they put in to really listen, understand and then instruct me have been what distinguishes them in the field of physical therapists. I have improved since starting to work with them (a year ago). The office is kept clean and neat, and is full of natural wood, natural light, and includes a library of pertinent material. Colleena, the receptionist/office manager, is a wonderful and personable and efficient part of the team. I highly recommend this practice.“

1874 Tice Valley Blvd, Walnut Creek“Don, and the team, are the best. Over the years Don has helped me with my rolled ankle (with significant tear in the ligament), my tennis elbow, and most recently with my aching knees. After couple of months of therapy it feels like I got another twenty years for my active lifestyle skiing, sailing and playing tennis on pretty high level for an older guy. Thanks!?“

2100 Monument Blvd Suite 8A, Pleasant Hill“Our family used Assist On Call for both my father and more recently, our mother. We have been very happy with the quality care we received both times. Each time we needed 12 hour care for about 6 months. Mike, as the Supervisor, was outstanding. He works hard to get a good match between the client and the care givers, was flexible with our requests, and reachable any time.“

After experiencing a recent traumatic attack, my body was holding onto so much tension and distress. Diane worked her magic with such care, skill, and deep intuition—I could feel my body finally starting to release and process what it had been through. Her presence is grounding, her technique is gentle yet powerful, and I left feeling lighter, calmer, and more in tune with myself. If you're seeking true healing, I highly recommend her. Thank you, Diane!“

3419 Grand Ave Ste 202, Oakland“Maggie is wonderful. Her myofascial therapy is very different, and so much more impactful, than a typical "massage." She's given me so many great tips and exercises. She's a true champion of foam rollers and her guidance has really improved my physical well being. No matter what's going on in my life, her easygoing, warm, and patient presence makes each appointment such a pleasure. I recommend signing up for her online videos and attending her rolling classes in person or remotely.“

“I was impressed by the care and analysis taken by La Foot staff before they tried to sell me anything. After careful listening to my athletic needs, habits, and deficiencies they recommended a shoe that turned out to be ideal for my needs. The initial experience was so positive that I returned for gym specific shoes and ortho inserts for my Haflinger cork slippers. 6-months + into wearing the first shoes I remain totally satisfied. If you visit La Foot Plus be sure to go well before closing time. At the end of the day they respect their staff's non-work time by closing promptly at closing time, if not a little before.“

“My doctor gave me a list of PT places but I asked her who she liked and she recommended Daphna Ross so I called her and I am so glad I did. Daphna helped me so much! She is so knowledgeable, kind and patient. I highly recommend her!“
