She has always been able to help me get back to the sports I love quickly. In 2019 I had to take 10 months off of running due to injuries. Nothing I could find online was working for me and it didn’t get better with rest. I saw Dr Jess in early 2020 and she helped me identify and treat my IT band syndrome. I finished the year with over 1k miles and by 2022 achieved a long standing goal of mine to run a trail 50k in under 5 hours. What I like most about her approach is that she really teaches you how to improve form, strength, and flexibility on your own with exercises that I found easy to follow after the sessions.I will definitely see Dr Jess again if I have problems in the future.“

1080 Monroe St Ste 110, Albany“I discovered Stretch Lab 7 months ago. I said aloud to a friend, “I wish there was a place that existed that just stretched you.” Next thing you know, I’m getting advertisements for Stretch Lab on my Instagram. I decided to try it out, and I love everything about it. I’ve tried 5 or 6 different flexologists and all of them have been great, but my favorite is Gabriel!
I pay for 4 25 minute sessions a month (2 50 minute sessions), but I wish I could afford more. I always look forward to my sessions and leave them feeling relaxed and happy!
The customer service is outstanding. The manager, Shahria, clearly cares about his customers and his employees. They probably have the best customer service of any business I’ve ever worked with and I’m sure that comes from having good leadership. They are kind, explain things well, help me problem solve, and have credited me back missed sessions when there has been confusion over them (more than once). They’re accommodating to my young children and are always happy to let them hang out while I’m getting stretched.
Highly recommend Stretch lab, Albany!“

2650 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley“Rob is an excellent PT. He is a high performing athlete himself so I feel he has a more hands on and practical experience than other PTs when working with you. He is also very well educated in PT methods and approaches. The studio is well located and very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.“

460 Boulevard Way #2d, Oakland“Renew is an oasis amongst in-network physical therapy clinics. Seldom outside of private practice are therapists able to spend your whole appointment with you. Quality of care and attention to detail are top notch.
Jess helped treat my a persistent running related tendinopathy successfully after two other practitioners at other clinics failed. Her sessions focus on form an educating you on proper biomechanics so that the exercises you do outside of clinic are done properly. You're not just guided through a workout. She includes a few minutes of massage, too.
As a certified massage therapist myself, I trust Renew with my clients when they need physical therapy. Renew therapists collaborate with other practitioners in your care team to assure you receive the best possible treatment.“

659 Commercial St #101, San Francisco“I’ve been seeing Sara and Linsey twice a week for over a year for back pain, both before and after my spinal surgery, and I truly can’t recommend them and Renew PT enough.
They’ve played a huge role in my recovery — helping me safely rebuild strength, improve mobility, and regain confidence in my body. Beyond the exercises, they take the time to educate me about what’s happening and why, which has made the whole recovery process far less intimidating.
Most importantly, they always make me feel heard, supported, and safe. They listen carefully, adjust treatment to how I’m doing, and genuinely care about their patients’ progress.
I highly recommend Renew Physical Therapy to anyone needing support and expert care for recovery and long-term strength and mobility.“

Their patience and experience helped me to navigate the challenges that arose over the six-month rehabilitation. I am very grateful to Albany PT, and especially Elayne and Ann Michelle, for helping me to achieve a fully recovery.“

916 San Pablo Ave, Albany“Dr. Cohen & the team at Innate has genuinely saved my life! If I could give ten stars, I would. I have Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), and I could not ask for a better chiropractor. I have tried many practitioners who could barely keep me walking, and Dr. Cohen was able to get me out of support braces, stuck in bed most days in pain, and now I am dancing on my feet again! He is not only an excellent chiropractor, but also an incredibly kind, empathetic, and caring person who treats my chronic full-body condition with a gentle, effective, mind-body-spirit approach. The combination of chiropractic, PDTR, NET, and everything else that Dr. Cohen uses has been so effective. The other practitioners I have seen, Dr. Jen, Dr. Furda, Kenny Givens (massage therapist), and Michael Huff (orthobionomy) are all also very excellent, knowledgeable, and kind. Kenny Givens is my favorite medical massage therapist and I always come out of my appointments feeling better! The front desk staff is fantastic as well, Randi especially is so sweet and helpful. I recommend Innate to literally everyone I know, especially my friends with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome & other chronic conditions. Thank you so much to everyone at Innate for significantly improving my quality of life!“

6239 College Ave, Oakland“I've been coming here for a few years now and live it every time. This was my 1st float experience and it was amazing! I normally do fire and ice which is always a good option but the float experience was nice. Let my skin super smooth! Definitely will be doing this more often.“

1841 Lombard St, San Francisco“I’m a firm believer in the importance of excellent customer service, and Diamond Pain Relief & Wellness truly delivered. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was warm and welcoming, setting a positive tone for the entire experience. The professionalism continued seamlessly through my session with James Cowan and even post-appointment.
The atmosphere at Diamond is inviting and serene, there's a noticeable calmness that instantly puts you at ease. It’s a space where you feel both comfortable and cared for.
My session with James was nothing short of amazing. Before we got started, he took the time to ask thoughtful questions to understand my needs and help set expectations for our time together. I tend to ask a lot of questions during sessions, not just out of curiosity, but to make sure what I’m feeling internally aligns with what the professional is noticing and James was incredibly patient and responsive.
What really stood out was how the conversation didn’t take away from the experience; in fact, it enhanced it. James explained the techniques he was using, the reasons behind them, and was open to my feedback throughout. It was a balanced exchange that gave me clarity about my body and my treatment without compromising the quality of the massage. Instead of feeling like the talking was a distraction, it felt like an added value an educational experience on top of a therapeutic one.
I left not only feeling physically better but also more informed and at peace. If you’re looking for high-quality, thoughtful, and personalized care, I highly recommend considering Diamond Pain Relief & Wellness.“

3040 Larkin St, San Francisco“After a recent sprained ankle, I needed PT to not only heal but to get my ankle in the best possible shape for an upcoming walking safari through rocky mountainous terrain. I don’t doubt I’ll have any issues thanks to Erica and her team of physical therapists’ help in accelerating my healing process. Erica takes the time to listen to my goals, and recommends the best treatments for each visit as well as home exercises with custom therapy handouts. Apex Physical Therapy is located across from Ghirardelli Square in a beautiful well-lit space with views of Aquatic Park and the Bay which is a bonus perk in the process of healing.“

5442 Boyd Ave, Oakland“Sirena is truly wonderful—let me start there! I've been seeing her for about five years, originally after being referred for complementary care alongside my Neurofeedback Therapy (which I also recommend). During that time, she provided the perfect support. Sirena has an incredibly calming, caring, and grounding energy. Whenever I suffer from severe tension headaches, often made worse by sitting at a desk all day, she's my first choice. While massage therapy gave me some relief, it just wasn't enough—so I went to Sirena. I'd arrive with a headache and leave completely pain-free! Her gentle techniques really are remarkable. I might not fully understand how they work, but they certainly do. I've even seen her for digestive issues, which improved after our sessions. If you want to treat yourself with self-love and kindness, schedule a visit with Sirena.“
9AM - 7PM
3576 Laurel Ave, Oakland“I've begun monthly body work with Rebecah and can't think of a better way to practice self care. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience, bringing just the right technique to each session, and many tips for ongoing health afterward.“
7AM - 4PM
403 49th St suite a, Oakland“Amy and Iris are the two PT's that I've seen at Back to Life Physical Therapy; they both are very knowledgable, and thorough in their explanations and guidance. In addition to their abundant knowledge in the specific area of pelvic floor, the extra care and time they put in to really listen, understand and then instruct me have been what distinguishes them in the field of physical therapists. I have improved since starting to work with them (a year ago). The office is kept clean and neat, and is full of natural wood, natural light, and includes a library of pertinent material. Colleena, the receptionist/office manager, is a wonderful and personable and efficient part of the team. I highly recommend this practice.“

2855 Telegraph Ave Ste 301, Berkeley“I have had great results for my pelvic issues with PHRC, with Tiffany Ai Lan Vo and other PT’s there. The support staff is also very supportive, welcoming and competent in dealing with the insurance maze. Thank you Lisa Topete. I got excellent PT care, support and guidance there and highly recommend PHRC.
I went to PHRC after a mountain biking accident and healing of my fractured pelvic bone. The scar tissue buildup was restricting my range of motion and made bike riding painful. After much research, I found PHRC as the only PT clinics in the North Bay providing both strengthening training and manual therapy. I’m completely past my injuries and in a better physical condition than before my fall accident.“
7AM - 7PM
2001 Fourth St, Berkeley“I've been working with a couple therapists for spinal nerve issues. The therapists are knowledgeable and very helpful, and willing to work with your schedule and preferences. They may try a variety of different techniques in order to help ease immediate pain and build up the needed strength to prevent it going forward.
Getting in touch over the phone can be hit or miss as the line is often busy, but they are usually good about calling back if you leave a message. Alternatively, you can go visit them and chat with the front desk in-person – the staff are a delight.“
9AM - 12PM
281 13th St, Oakland“Excellent experience all the way around. The front desk clerk understood my insurance plan and explainedbto me how it workes. That was very important to me so I had no unexpected cost. The doctor I can't say enough about him. Just absolutely amazing. Really knows his craft and comes up with wonderful after care plans. I definitely would recommend this chiropractic office.“

6097 Claremont Ave, Oakland“I cannot express how amazing my experience with Moon has been: I've been going to her for visceral manipulation following a myomectomy surgery, in which over 2lbs of fibroids were removed from my uterus, and subsequent complications from the surgery that affected my intestines, stomach, and my whole digestive system. After my surgery everything in my abdomen and digestive tract felt off--sharp and "crunchy" is the best way I can describe it. Definitely not how you want your abdomen to feel. After several sessions with Moon over a few months my body feels softer and smoother, I have less discomfort after eating, and I my abdomen feels right again. I wasn't sure what to expect from visceral manipulation but I'm now a true believer. In addition to being a skilled and knowledgeable masseuse Moon is a truly lovely and caring person. She will take good care of you and your body.“

2397 Shattuck Ave. #206, Berkeley“I’ve been seeing Dr. Janette throughout my preconception phase with suspected endometriosis, then pregnancy and now postpartum. She’s been wonderful throughout all phases and I cannot recommend her enough. She really knows her craft and has so many special skills beyond PT that keep on surprising me. She is respectful, gentle and warm. I especially appreciate that she thinks very holistically and truly listens to my personal concerns. Her approach is tailored to my needs and includes manual therapy that is the extremely helpful. After having my baby, I wasn’t able to come back as soon as I wanted to, but once I was back to working with Janette, I started healing my prolapse and abdominal separation noticeably in a very short amount of time.
If you are looking for an amazing pelvic floor PT, look no further. I highly recommend adding Janette to your health team.“
8AM - 4:30PM
22 Battery St # 888, San Francisco“I’ve been seeing Giancarlo Centeno for a wrist/hand injury and couldn’t be happier. He did a very thorough first evaluation and really listens and cares — I’ve made great progress in just a couple of months.
The whole team is awesome: Zoe is super helpful and always checks in during sessions, and Carlie makes scheduling and insurance a breeze — efficient, warm, and a clear communicator.
The office is clean, well-equipped, and has a really welcoming atmosphere. It does get busy, so my first appointment took a bit to book, but after that everything’s been smooth.
Friendly team, great vibe, and effective care — highly recommend!“
“On the very strong recommendation of another PT who had moved out of the area, I went to see Steve Ryan for reverse total shoulder replacement post-op physical therapy. Steve is simply the best, most knowledgeable, competent, straightforward, compassionate, patient and organized physical therapist I have ever worked with. The written instructions and (excellent) videos for the prescribed PT exercises are available the day of or 1 day after your appointment. He is very organized and prompt so appointments are always on time. I am 79 years old and very active for my age. Steve guided me through a major glitch in my surgical recovery and I am now fully back to all my physical activities. I'm sure I couldn't have done this without his professional mentorship. Strongly and without hesitation thank and recommend Dr. Stephen Ryan for physical therapy.“
