He made having a contractor working on this old house a pleasant experience, which most aren't. Expensive, yes, but he was reasonable and stuck to the estimate.

The one star off was for some debris left behind (some old foam and rubber gloves) outside the basement, which I'm sure was an oversight, given that he worked through lunch and was off to another night time job. Thanks Anthony! I will use (and recommend) Magic again.“

“I had Next install a brand new heat pump in my condo in SF to replace an old furnace. They did a great job and price was reasonable. Some minor delays and the project ran over in terms of time but the two folks working on the project stayed late to get the job done. I would say that the only negative feedback is that the communication could have been better when delays / issues were occurring on when they would come back, etc. I had to be proactive to call their office but other than that they did an excellent job and I could not be more than happy with my new heat pump“

I spoke with Saul who advised me because it was after hours the rate is doubled and if I could wait till the next day it would be less costly. I didn’t want to wait. Joe detected what the problem was, ordered the part and later found out it was going to take a few days to get here. I compared the price to a couple of other companies on Yelp and their price looked good and they answered my questions. We made an appointment and their team came out and replaced my furnace in just a couple of hours. I got a building inspector myself to come out to give me a permit for the new furnace. The inspector took just a few seconds before signing off on the permit.“

“Heat didn't go on as scheduled at 6 AM. Checked out the thermostat and it was OK. Jeff Stuckert called me back between his jobs and explained the common furnace problems and how to find them on the circuit board under the heating section. Then he asked for me to send him the wiring diagram photos and found the fuse which could be the problem. It was. Heat went on and off in response to the thermostat. He really knows his stuff!!!I very highly recommend him.“
