“Of the several HVAC contractors I talked to, Jim at Bruce Mechanical was the one to look at duct sizing as well as offer a manual J calculation to determine what size of heating system was needed. He then offered information on heating with gas vs with a heat pump and the interplay with my undersized ducts. I thought he struck a great balance of offering data and experience based advice and voicing concerns along with letting me make my own decisions. Their bid was competitive. I would not hesitate to do business with this company, and I'd highly recommend them if you're not sure which direction to go in an older home or with any retrofit project.“
