“When I reached out to Hardy Quality Air in Watsonville to have our furnace fixed, they were able to schedule an appointment within one day (another local company was scheduling over 2 weeks out!). Ricardo came out and quickly assessed the problem, which required a replacement motor assembly. I’ve gotten used to service calls that result in more waiting to hear about parts availability, however Ricardo got back within a few hours with availability and a full cost estimate.Fast forward past a long weekend and Ricardo came out early the first day of the workweek and installed the new motor and everything is working great.When I asked about a better filter, he provided a replacement for free!Ricardo was extremely responsive, explained the problem very clearly and did everything a customer should expect. He is definitely provides exceptional service. Highly recommended.“
“Thank you to Bill Hall at Santa Cruz Mechanical and excellent HVAC technician Victor!! They were wonderful and honest and saved me thousands! Glad I got a second opinion from them today! I found out from Santa Cruz Mechanical that my furnace didn't need replacement like Atlas Trillo technician had said. Atlas Trillo charged 150 for their quick, inaccurate, and seems like dishonest diagnosis. It seems this is how they sell more furnaces! Atlas Trillo (Associates with Bellows I believe) then sent their sales rep who quoted me around $8500 for a new furnace! I'm 72, retired teacher on a fixed income so ....A friend recommended I call Bill Hall. Today his company Santa Cruz Mechanical found the heating exchange was not at all broken as Atlas Trillo had said. A new fuse worth 35 cents was all furnace needed to work!! Magical Victor cleaned the air blower. I had the wrong size filter which wasn't properly attached. He told me about a repair that might be needed soon but the furnace was working really well after he left.?Bless them!“

“My wife and I have struggled with understanding our Radiant Heating since we first purchased our home. It seemed to work fine, but we wanted to be certain and wanted to know if it could be improved.Upon a friend's recommendation, we called Duncan/California Radiant. We had great service from a competent and friendly receptionist. She also put Scott on the phone so he could understand what we needed. He was great.The next morning, Eric arrived and we couldn't have been more pleased. He listened to us and then began looking over our system--explaining some of the mysteries and then got going on a deep inspection of everything.He checked on all aspects--the boiler, the valves, the fittings, the manifold, the thermostats and gave us reassurance that the system was doing fine. He readjusted some temperature settings after determining that our radiant lines were buried deep in the slab and would function better at a slightly higher temp. He gave us suggestions on how to improve our energy savings and yet keep the house comfortable. My wife and I were impressed at how thorough he was and how he was able to make this maze of things understandable.He pointed out some things that could be improved, but assured us the system could also function fine without the improvements. There was no up selling. We were so glad we called Duncan Plumbing/California Radiant. What a relief.“

“Mike saved us during a January cold snap when our (older) furnace stopped working. He was immediately responsive to set a diagnostic appointment and communicated thoughtfully throughout the experience. (FYI two of the companies I called that day NEVER bothered to call back!) I particularly appreciated his attention to my explanations of our trouble-shooting and error-code info which expedited his getting to the core problem - a bad gas valve. Once the replacement part was in hand he was there to install it within 24-hours and the unit has been functioning well ever since. Our experience with Mike literally left us with a warm and cozy feeling!“

“We asked three local HVAC companies to bid for a single room mini-split heat pump. The first two either didn't respond or came back with a high bid for an undersized unit. The third company was Affordable Heating, and thankfully Charlie Sr. took the time to listen to what we needed and came back quite quickly with a bid that was very reasonable, and within our budget. They set up installation quicker than I expected (two weeks), and the two man crew doing the work were everything you'd want from a contractor: on time, professional, quick, and they cleaned up after the job. Affordable even helped arrange rebates offered through local utilities, that made this a better deal than I had realized. The new mini-split is super-efficient, works great and we are more than happy with the results! We'd definitely recommend them.Services: Installation“

“We were experiencing issues with out forced air heater turning on when it wasn't supposed to. We replaced the thermostat with a new one, and it still turned on by itself. We called three companies locally, and one recommended Ronzano. I had also heard the Ronzano name in other repair circles so I thought I'd give them a try. Of the four companies I called, Ronzano dispatched a technician that same afternoon. Luke showed up on time, called before he drove up, and had the issue fixed within 30 minutes. He found some wires crimped together that were shorting out. He made the repair, was courteous, clean, and respected our wishes about wearing shoe coverings on our rug. We paid a reasonable price, and all is well; the heater is performing properly, and we wouldn't hesitate to call Ronzano again for help. Thank you, Ronzano!“
