After just one session, my pain decreased by about 50%. By the second session, I had regained full range of motion in my joint, and my pain level went down even further.
He showed me the stretching techniques to further my posture after muscle strain.

Sometimes you are paired with other members and they have been great and understanding about the different fitness levels.
The location is great and there is free street parking by the gym.“

The first person I met was Caroline Mundell and never have I signed paperwork with someone so fit on the other side of the table nor have I ever met a founder and CEO of a business to be so down to earth. This great first impression set the standard for my entire 6 month experience so far at Function and not once has that standard faltered. Great facilities, a variety of classes, multiple class times (to help with my busy work schedule), a convenient and intuitive app to view and book classes, and of course an amazing coaching/training team. Of the many that FHC has I've had the privilege to be trained by coaches Joyce, Eric and Roisin. All three are very patient, encouraging, knowledgeable and super fit themselves. I'm very grateful to all 3 of them.
I think along side everything else I've mentioned above, the primary way Function Health Club sets themselves apart from other gyms is intention. I think the training we receive is very intentional and purpose driven. Training by design and not by default, I truly appreciate that.
I've been with Function for 6 months now doing Hyrox classes and workshops and will soon be trying some other classes as well. I foresee myself training at Function for many many years to come.“

658 Homer St #410, Vancouver“Rob is probably the best trainer in the lower mainland-he has extensive knowledge in personal training, and biomechanics. If you are having pain or have a certain weakness, he can tell right away and knows exactly how to solve the problem. For example, this one time I was having a bit of pain in my hip and when I walked in for my session Rob noticed immediately that my gait had changed (even though I didn’t even notice until he mentioned it to me) and the best thing was he changed our workout to accommodate for that. Whether you want to do resistance training, boxing or other forms of training, Rob is the best in the business. Highly recommend!“

Her classes at Sweat Co Workout Studios Ltd are small (4-5 ppl), so she can give everyone personal attention. She’s super attentive, always making sure you’re doing the movements correctly, and will gently correct your form to help you get the most out of the session. I’ve learned so much from her already and can’t wait to keep taking her classes. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great Pilates experience!“
“This gym is a great place to work out, with a well-equipped fitness center. Some of the equipment is a bit outdated, but the staff and trainers are very friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s a great place to work out in the neighborhood.“

My daughter actually trains with Leo, who is also very professional and well informed about exercises to target specific muscle groups and conditioning needs. He is encouraging and easy to relate to so my daughter likes to train with him. My daughter also tells me she thinks Sean is very approachable and kind as he greets her by name with a smile each time she goes for training (even though he is not her trainer). Great work, Sean and Leo !“

“I come to Rize Fitness downtown Vancouver every single week for the group fitness classes, and it’s easily one of the best boutique gyms in the city. The group classes with Noah are a part of my weekly schedule, they are high-energy, fast-paced, and genuinely fun !! The classes here motivating without being intimidating. The atmosphere and coaching style are exactly what keep me coming back weekly.
The gym itself is a clean, well-maintained boutique fitness studio located right in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Reggie, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and always available to help with questions around personal training, workouts, or nutrition. The front desk staff are friendly and welcoming, bathrooms are always clean, and towels are provided, which is a great touch.
Overall, Rize Fitness is an excellent choice whether you’re looking for personal training in downtown Vancouver or want a fun, high energy group class experience. I highly recommend it.“
