The trainers tailor plans to your individual needs, taking into account any limitations you might have. They focus on helping you achieve a variety of goals, not just weight-related ones. Highly recommended for anyone looking to begin their fitness journey.“

2786 W 16th Ave, Vancouver“Nic is an absolute angel. He is so good at what he does. So professional. His energies made me feel so safe and I could release all of what was coming out of my muscles thanks to Nic’s extensive knowledge of the exact points to press and the exact muscles to stretch. I am so grateful that I got a chance to get his services. ??♥️ strongly recommend to anyone looking to unwind, lead a better life and rid themselves of diseases that stem from muscle tension and stress stored in bodies.“

278 E 1st Ave, Vancouver“CrossFit BC is my first CrossFit community in Vancouver and I felt very fortunate to have found it. From the first day they have made me feel at home but what stands out the most is that it is a place where I have felt valued, respected, cared for and motivated to do my best. Thank you guys, I carry you in my heart. 5:30 AM CLASS I <3 U“

658 Homer St #410, Vancouver“Rob is probably the best trainer in the lower mainland-he has extensive knowledge in personal training, and biomechanics. If you are having pain or have a certain weakness, he can tell right away and knows exactly how to solve the problem. For example, this one time I was having a bit of pain in my hip and when I walked in for my session Rob noticed immediately that my gait had changed (even though I didn’t even notice until he mentioned it to me) and the best thing was he changed our workout to accommodate for that. Whether you want to do resistance training, boxing or other forms of training, Rob is the best in the business. Highly recommend!“

3609 E Hastings St, Vancouver“I can’t recommend this RMT enough! Arian was able to diagnose my pain more effectively than any doctor or healthcare professional I had seen before. After just one session, my pain decreased by about 50%. By the second session, I had regained full range of motion in my joint, and my pain level went down even further.
He showed me the stretching techniques to further my posture after muscle strain.
I also tried fire cupping here, which made a huge difference in my recovery. The treatment was both professional and effective, and I felt genuinely cared for throughout the process. If you’re dealing with chronic pain or mobility issues, this is the place to go.“

5 years on and I am still here: dancing and stretching and feeling great. Suzy and the team are fabulous and a great inspiration to the community. Thanks for being here :)“

4180 W 4th Ave, Vancouver“Sean has always been so prompt and helpful in responding to my questions and helping me with registrations. He is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. My daughter actually trains with Leo, who is also very professional and well informed about exercises to target specific muscle groups and conditioning needs. He is encouraging and easy to relate to so my daughter likes to train with him. My daughter also tells me she thinks Sean is very approachable and kind as he greets her by name with a smile each time she goes for training (even though he is not her trainer). Great work, Sean and Leo !“

“Did a class called Lift through ClassPass here and loved it!
The studio is very spacious and has lots of different rooms with different equipment. There is water (on tap) + reusable water bottles to grab if you don’t have your own. There are towels available too.
The class was a max effort training and conditioning class. The instructor was knowledgeable and helped with picking the weights to make sure you are working hard but not too hard. The conditioning part was pretty good too.
Overall it was a great experience.“

Open 24 today
1015 Denman St #200, Vancouver“Wanted to restart gym after covid, but the community gym was still down for renovations, so I signed up for this location. I like the flexibility of 24x7 availability, and prefer later times anyways, no need to rush or watch the clock. Haven't gone back to the community centre, even though it's vastly cheaper.
The busy times here vary day to day greatly. Some days 7pm is empty, others it's the busy time. After 10-10:30pm nearly always fine. When it's busy there is a wait for some stations, so you may need to change up your routine. For the size, there is a decent range of weight machines, but not anything too specialized. I think between the machines, freeweights, cable machines (several of those now) and racks and benches, you can improvise anything you need. There is a row of treadmills/stairs/etc, which are surprisingly lightly used (when I'm there), one rowing machine, a couple of stationary bikes, 2 spin bikes, 1 recumbent. 4 full racks, 1 smith rack, 1 curl station. No bench presses, so people will use benches at the rack to bench press, which is very frustrating as they can easily tie up 2-4 pieces of equipment for 1 hour+. People never stick to time limits, no matter how busy it is. There are 3 incline benches, but they're often used at the rack for bench press. So when it's very busy, it can get dicey, but I am always able to get my workout in without more than 10 minute delay.
Machines are generally in good repair, and get fixed quickly. Everything is clean, but the AC vents often drip and the bathrooms don't have fans(?) that I can hear, so that's weird. There are no changing rooms, just a row of 5 or 6 individual bathrooms, 2 with showers.
The crowd during off-times is pretty chill. No influencer types, and nobody's filming. I've been a couple of times during busy times, and it's definitely more hopping.
All in all, the 24x7 aspect is the selling point for me, but if finances get tight, it's probably the first thing to go.“

1522 Commercial Dr, Vancouver“I’ve been going to Spartacus Gym for the past 10 years. The equipment is always in top shape, and they keep the place clean and organized. Over the years, they’ve maintained a great variety of machines and free weights, making it easy to switch up my routine. Plus, the pricing has always been incredibly fair for what you get. It’s just a solid, reliable gym that’s helped me stay on track with my fitness goals for a decade!“
