“Workers arrived on the first day, and brought the wrong mini split, the sales person ordered the wrong one. After searching for a way to install the split that they brought, they called their boss and he said to come back and get the correct one. They arrived a few hours later, and began work, they were here till late in the evening, drilling two big holes in one of the 2x4 above the breaker box, trying to hook the power up. While doing this, they damaged the other wires and breaker. The worker actually said to me, did I trip the breaker?, I replied I didn’t even come close to that breaker box. After, trying to repair their mistake, the Company called an actual electrician, and replaced entire wiring and breaker, that there company had damaged. The electrician was here for 4-6 hours. He showed my wife and I the damaged wiring, that could’ve caught our house on fire, if the breaker did not trip. The other day, the drywall repair guy came, fixed holes, and said he would be back to paint, but we haven’t heard back from the Company. We are so far from recommending this Company for any work. This was very disappointing, the General Manager also said, they needed to see if the damaged breaker was our fault or theirs UNBELIEVABLE! DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY! I will definitely contact Home Depot and tell them what kind of Company they are subcontracting out to.

Update on mini split install, the new GM came out for the final walkthrough. We spoke about the issue and he was very apologetic for trouble we went through. After the conversation, I have decided to edit my review and recommend this Company, due to the new leadership that is now in place. They offered a one year maintenance package, and Military discount on the install. Thanks, well done!“

“Nick installed a new AC/Heat Pump at our home back in February after determining and showing us our existing unit was not worth repairing. He installed a 3 ton Bosch unit to replace a 2.5 ton unit that was not cooling or heating our home efficiently. The Bosch unit that Nick recommended is absolutely fantastic. It is super quiet, and even with the temperatures being in the 90’s, it cools quickly and holds the temperature. Each of our monthly electric bills has been at least $50 cheaper since the installation. We really could not be happier. Now about Nick- I am one of those people that is very particular about who works on my “stuff”, and hate to have to call repair technicians for fear of getting ripped off. I will tell you without any doubt that Nick will be the only one that ever works on my HVAC system again. He is a total professional, takes the time to show and explain what’s going on, and has even called and come back on two occasions since the install just to check and make sure everything was to my satisfaction. He provided me several options for replacement units before I ultimately took his recommendation to go with the Bosch. Something was clearly wrong. Monday morning we asked a friend if they knew anyone we could trust and they highly recommended Sun Coast Energy. As soon as we made connection, they had someone out within 20 minutes. It was unbelievable. David was our technician and he was prompt and efficient with the service we requested. First he checked the indoor unit and said everything looked fine. He then went to the outside unit and quickly identified that the capacitor was the issue. He scanned a barcode and discovered it was still under warranty!! Everything fixed within 30 minutes and the value he brought was huge. I told him that there will be people this Month who will have the exact same issue and someone will sell them a brand new unit. There is no way I would have known if he had told me I needed a new unit. He said the owners aren't like that. They are good Christian people who hire people who do the right thing. David also said he could not sleep with himself at night if he did something like that. They have a service plan that we are going to sign up for just because of the integrity of the company. We know they will serve us the right way. If you need help with A/C issues and anything else Sun Coadt services, I would recommend giving them a call!! We are very happy with the value and service we received.“

“I called them late on a Friday after both of my AC units died after being well past due for replacing. They had someone there the next day (Michael) who inspected them and provided a temporary fix which was much needed due to it taking place in June. For a fair price, they then got me scheduled for everything to be done the following Tuesday. The crew got to my house on time, did everything needed in a few hours, and were as nice as they could be. Highly recommend them and, while I hope I don’t need their services anytime soon (ha), they are who I’ll be calling in such an instance.“
