“I am extremely happy with the service and product that I received from Ideal Custom Flooring. We like to shop and patronize local businesses and had them stretch our carpet years ago. Great service then, so I didn't even look anywhere else when it came time to replace the carpet. The installers from Chicago came before 8:00 a.m. and were finished with our bedroom/walk in closet and master bath in two hours. They left no mess, cut parts of the old carpeting that we could reuse or the scraps which we could patch with if needed at a later date. I'm delighted with the service that the owner and Madison gave us. Actually, everyone that we dealt with in the store was great. I stopped in two weeks after the job was finished to make sure that the second half of the payment was done. I had a check ready for the day of installment.“

“We recently had Schmidt refinish our hardwood floors, and the results look fantastic! While they weren’t the lowest quote we received, their customer service really stood out. They took the time to fully explain the process, which made us feel confident and comfortable choosing their team.

The only reason for a 4 out of 5 rating is due to some minor issues with scheduling—we had to follow up multiple times with the scheduler after paying our deposit—and a bit of stain that got on our walls during the process.

“My experience was difficult initially, but exceptional at the end. I chose a backsplash tile that was intricate, and learned later hadn't been purchased by anyone previously. The installer that they hired did not do a good job, and it was very disappointing. When I contacted the store, they gladly had a representative visit to look at the work. He was as disappointed as I was, and pledged to make everything right. And they did. They agreed to do the job over again, but explained that I might still not be happy with the result because it was an insanely complex pattern. It's notable that they were no longer going to offer that pattern. They suggested some alternatives, of which I chose one. A different installer was hired, and did a fantastic job. There were no additional charges, there were no complaints by the store, they owned up to the previous job, assured me that they would make it right, and they did - no questions asked. It was difficult, but in the end I couldn't be happier with the way that I was treated.“
