“Kimmie's salon is a hidden gem in beacon hill. I found her when looking for hair styling online when she first started and was a little nervous she had few reviews, but she was professional with communication so tried it out and LOVE her work. She has a huge array of services and is really talented at coloring hair and attentive to her clients. Her pricing is also very reasonable for the area and she is very honest in recommendations. I have had my hair dyed several times with her and cut as well and have never been disappointed. Of note, her salon can be a bit tricky for parking when busy, but is comfortable and relatively easy to find. If you're looking for a good stylist in the area I definitely recommend Kimmie!“

“Lina, my new go-to girl! I showed her multiple pictures asking for a different detail from each added together to get what I was looking for. Color from one, placement from another, and so on. She executed EXACTLY what I envisioned plus gave me the side sweep bangs at the perfect length with me vaguely explaining what I wanted. She has tons of experience and it shows. I’ve had nightmare experiences that gave me anxiety to ever get my hair done up until now. On top of her flawless technique, she was so sweet and easy to talk to! Practically free therapy :) She also helped me find my keys and stayed until she knew I was safely able to get home. Which, in my opinion, is a good illustration of character. From the second I met Michelle, I clicked with her her and trusted her completely. She is a true artist that knows exactly what you want and nails the look. She is so easy to talk to and was so nice when I needed to make a few tweaks during the trial. She was one of my favorite vendors on my wedding day as she had calm and positive energy. “Just got my monthly haircut at Ry’s, and after a couple years of being a client, felt like it was time to add my review. Ry is a top-tier professional and craftsman in the hair business. When I came to his studio, I had just left another barber after a bad experience, so I was pretty wary of trying a new barber. Ry put my mind at ease with his attention to detail and nailing my haircut on the first try (and every visit since then). I have straight, thick Japanese hair, and it’s very easy to tell when an unskilled or undisciplined barber cuts my hair - with Ry it has been spot-on every time.Ry’s Studio is a laidback, single chair, live-work shop that shares a space with his lovely family and two dogs. The vibe is friendly and comfortable, but not all up in your business like some barbershops. If you’re used to chain barbershops or shops in the suburbs, he might seem a little expensive, but I shopped around for a while in this area and all the high end shops have comparable prices. If you need your hair to be on point and want to be confident in professional consistency, Ry is the guy.One tip: Because this is a live-work studio with dogs, he keeps his door locked. Just give a firm knock on the door and Ry will let you in.“
