74 Main St, Burlington“I think this is the first Google review I’ve ever written. I’m clicking “5 stars” because I don’t wish to diminish the business’s “rating” or reputation, however, I was disappointed with my experience at this studio. I’ll preface this by saying I’m a long-time yoga practitioner and teacher with a 500hr certification, so I understand what the instructor was trying to do in prohibiting me from practicing as I wanted during my period, but autonomy is so important in yoga spaces. Some tradition in yogic systems should/can be left aside, if the student wishes to move as she pleases through asana. This is just one example. We aren’t talking a major safety issue because of menstruation. I appreciate the high qualifications and deep respect for the practice this studio obviously embodies, but in the simplest terms, if a student wants to practice her handstands or engage her core when bleeding, let her. I don’t have a lot of time for my own student-ship these days, and was really looking forward to working my asanas this morning, not being made to be in relative inaction in my body. My apana would’ve survived it.“

“Carolyn Weber was amazing. I went after I hurt my back and she was able to help me not be in any pain. She knew what I could handle and would call me out when I wasn't doing my best. She was nice and would listen when I would talk about random thing.“

168 Battery St, Burlington“Jintina is a highly intelligent therapist. Her work has helped me recover from serious neck pain related to full time IT work. She understands anatomy very well and is active with her continuing education. I’ve had a dozen massages with her including Thai and table massage. I’ve always left feeling like a marshmallow. If you haven’t had Thai massage it’s performed on the floor on a comfortable pad and it’s a fascinating combination of massage and stretching. Being on the floor allows her to have leverage that’s beyond that of a table massage. It’s very different and incredibly relaxing. I close my eyes and let her make me feel transported. She’s a rockstar.“

337 College St, Burlington“Highly recommend Homebody! I've tried other massage therapists in Burlington and appreciate how thorough Cody was in talking before and after each session about my goals and about what I can do to continue the healing process (PT, stretching + self massage at home, etc). Worked with him for a few recurring sessions over 2 months to heal an ankle + hip injury, and the massages were always firm and relaxing, plus I feel I learned a good deal about my own body's areas of tightness/weakness/strength from Cody in the process.“

“Shelburne Yoga is much more than just a beautiful space to practice yoga; it's a true community of practitioners.
Piper, the lead instructor, creates a truly welcoming experience for all who enter her beautiful studio and brings such positive energy in all that she does. She is a deeply knowledgeable and gifted guide who adapts instruction based on group and individual needs and experience. She checks in with all practitioners as they enter the naturally light-filled and calming studio and offers modifications with posture and/or props as needed. Her deep knowledge of the importance of breath, alignment, mindfulness and yogic philosophy is reflected in her well choreographed class sequences and thoughtfully curated playlists.
Shelburne Yoga has personally made a significant impact on my evolving practice and my physical, mental and spiritual well-being.“
