“I have had the pleasure of dealing with Sinisa at Suburban Heating and Cooling twice. He is the most honest and knowledgeable professional I have ever met. The first time my A/C stopped blowing cold air, and it ended up being a simple fuse fix. Sinisa quickly found the problem and fixed it. The second time I had to deal with Suburban Heating and Cooling was when my mother-in-law's house A/C stopped blowing cold air and instead blew hot air. I called Sinisa on Saturday. He responded to my call within an hour. This repair was not time sensitive, as it was nice spring weather outside and we could wait for a weekday for him to come, but after I told him the symptoms and that we had thermostat replacement, he was able to make suggestions on how to fix it, by re-programming the thermostat over the phone. Do not hesitate to contact Suburban Heating and Cooling if you have issues with your Heating and Cooling and would like an honest timely service.“

“Second terrific experience with this company and tech Daniel. Last summer they found a tiny leak in our refrigerant line and repaired. Another company insisted on a full (pricey) replacement.

Jan 2026 - same tech arrived to offer a 2nd opinion on our furnace. He thoroughly inspected the unit, verified proper function of all safety devices and heat exchanger. Discovered a dip switch in the wrong position due to our humidifier. Again - modest repair cost instead of replacement unit saving us $$$.

“Our experience with the owner Reid, is nothing short of fantastic. He really knows his stuff and is just an all around great human being. He was so responsive via text even before our appointment - just trying to walk us through what the problem could be. I see the bad reviews about missed appointments or reschedules. We did have to wait a while for him to get here but customers need to understand that this is a smaller company. Sure you can call FH Furr or Roto Rooter and they can send a 20 year old technicial with minimal training to you the next day. And have them tell you your house is falling apart and you need 20K work of work, etc. Having worked with those larger companies for plumbing many times --- they SUCK. They just want to take your money and their techs make commission so the more they upsell you the more they make.

Reid isn't like that. He might not be able to get to you for a week but he's a quality guy. He'll spend time trying to find the problem and repairing it. And he will give you options and recommendations for what to do first. He even recommended an HVAC company and the owner of that company called me himself to try to take care of us.

We would highly recommend Northern Virginia Plumbing. Frankly we'd let Reid work on just about anything in our house that he said he could fix. He knows his stuff and is seemingly a very honest guy to boot.“

“The technician, Heyward, showed up on time and completed the maintenance check quickly. Even fixed an annoying startup noise that 3 different technicians failed to fix. A loose wire nut…go figure. Pays to check the wiring…way to go Heyward. The lady in the office was also very pleasant with a phone call and text as to when the technician was on his way. If only all companies had such great customer service.“

“I was looking for a new company to do my HVAC checkups in the fall and spring. I found Nichols Phipps in the Fairfax 2025 Top Pick Report last year and they have not let me down. Scheduling is very easy; the folks who answer the phone are courteous and responsive; the technicians are professional and knowledgeable; and everyone is friendly and nice.

I signed up for both inspections last fall - Luke came last fall and even changed my humidifier filter for me, Robert just came out and he checked the AC and made sure the furnace was burning efficiently. Both exceeded my expectations and I'm really happy I found this company. No repairs needed so far, but I would trust them to do the repairs if I did.
