“We contracted with PowerHouse remodeling to remodel our wooden 490 square foot deck with Trex flooring. Steve Edwards, the owner, gave us an honest assessment of the condition of the old deck, enabling us to retain the old posts and joists. He gave us a fair, detailed, itemized price for the remodel, which included removal and replacement of our deck furniture and grill, with a complete rebuild of the staircase. Unlike other contractors we spoke with there was no attempt to upsell. The work was initiated within the time period specified in the contract. The work crew were polite, clearly knowledgeable, and precise. Demolition of the old deck was accomplished in one day. The old deck support structure was carefully inspected and joists were replaced and reinforced as necessary. Our deck has several bump-outs requiring cutting and joining with precision and this was done carefully in a professional manner. The entire job, including excellent cleanup of the site, was accomplished in 7 days and we couldn’t be more pleased with the result.“

“Tuck and his crew were fantastic in every way and I would recommend them without hesitation. We are in Arlington and hired Tuck to replace our original concrete slab driveway along with the driveway apron. The County could have done the apron separately at a somewhat lower cost to us, but that would have required coordinating their work with a contractor doing the driveway (almost certainly a gap of time). Having all of the work done at once was important to us, and Tuck was the only contractor we spoke with who was willing to do the apron (due to the County’s exacting requirements). That says a lot - he is confident in his work and able to meet exacting standards. He responded promptly to my initial outreach, came to the house to discuss needs and options, and followed up with a reasonable estimate. We had to wait longer for him to do the work than we would have with others, but I think that is a reflection of how good his work is - he is in demand for a reason and I am willing to wait for a better finished product. His crew arrived early Monday morning, demo’d the old driveway and apron, and prepared the site along with improved drainage. Planning to pour concrete and complete the job on Tuesday, he delayed one day because of significant rain chances. I appreciated the cautious approach. His crew arrived on Wednesday and completed the job immaculately, and the County inspector arrived and signed off on the work without problem. On Thursday, his crew came out and completely cleaned up the site before noon. In sum, we found Tuck to be honest, intelligent, and thoughtful, and he takes great pride in his work and the work of his team. Also, watching the way he interacts with and treats his crew - there is a tremendous level of mutual respect. I believe it speaks volumes about a man and his company. While our job was not as extensive as many others, I would not hesitate to hire them for anything.“

“Endreola Sheet Metal was the subcontractor for a small metal roof over my front porch. Dale Endreola was so helpful and informative, and my new metal roof looks fabulous. He and his men spent extra time making sure that the flashing was done properly (apparently not easy given the cedar shingle siding), and that the galvalume roof was attached so that it wouldn't warp, like the old metal roof. Then they touched up the paint job on the nearby cedar shingles, did a very thorough job cleaning up, and encouraged me to call if I had any questions in the future.“
