They were responsive to our requirements and installed many specialized materials, including Spanish and Moroccan tiles, lighting fixtures, bespoke cabinetry and vanities, and other materials. The quality of their work was excellent. M was also good at fixing the few punchlist items we had. They are not inexpensive, but the quality of their work is way more than satisfactory.“

“This was by far one of the best experiences we had with a trades man \ contractor team!
From Daniel's first visit, looking into all the parameters that should be considered when going to refinish floors of two smaller rooms on the 3rd level, and recommending where to create the virtual "stop" so there will be minimal ability to realize what is old and what is new;
through the scheduling process that managed to take into account our travel and time constrain;
to the team that came to do the work and were all communicative, helpful and focused;
to the project itself, that was not without dust, but so well managed by the team that we could not feel it in the house;
to the job coordinator\manager that stopped by to see that the project is moving forward as expected;
to the final product, refinished floors in two rooms, that simply look amazing, and are a total match to the rest of the house!

We were in the area and randomly walked into the Custom Floor & Design store in Chantilly, where we were warmly greeted by Albert Kim. We initially told him we were “just looking,” but after seeing the wide range of flooring options — carpet, hardwood, vinyl planks, and more — we were impressed by the variety and quality. Albert patiently walked us through everything, explaining the differences between products in detail and helping us understand what would work best for our home.

We were specifically looking for carpet for the upstairs bedrooms and vinyl planks for the basement (especially with our dogs in mind). Albert gave excellent suggestions and offered us a very fair price on everything. He then scheduled a time for measurements, came out promptly, and took the time to measure everything accurately. He explained what would work best in each area, making sure every detail was planned correctly before the installation.

The installation was scheduled quickly, and both crews were fantastic. The vinyl plank crew, led by Mr. Lee, and the carpet crew, led by Mr. Louis, were professional, respectful, and friendly throughout the process. I made some last-minute changes to the plank layout, and Mr. Lee accommodated them without hesitation.

The day before installation, Albert personally called to confirm everything and showed up on-site during installation to check in and make sure things were going smoothly. He took the time to walk me through the progress, ensured I was completely satisfied, and asked if there was anything more he could do.

The installation was completed in just one day, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Albert also provided all the warranty information and explained how everything works in case any issues arise in the future.

From the moment we walked into the store to the final walkthrough, Albert Kim was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about delivering a great experience. I did not want to do everything all at once, so when I requested an estimate, they came out and measured all areas, but broke it up as requested. No pressure and answered all my questions. Everyone there is very knowledgeable. Both installations went well and look great! I especially appreciated the time the tile installer took to discuss the layout with me. I chose a larger tile for a smaller space, which is typically difficult to work with, but he had great suggestions and I couldn't be happier with the finished product! They could probably do a bit better about communication with their installers. I was told they'd be over on a certain day but no heads up on timing and was just notified when they were at my house. This wasn't an issue for me since I work just a few minutes from home, but something to keep in mind if you're coordinating with them. I also did have a few issues and delays where different materials needed to be ordered (one of the issues I was maybe a bit picky about - slightly mismatched color on one transition), but they were great about making sure everything got taken care of and I was happy with the work so the slight delay didn't impact my positive experience and the floors all look great!
Pro-tip: Get $10 gift cards to a local sub shop for lunch and some drinks for your installers. We did this and they did awesome work and were super grateful and made us feel very comfortable with them in our home.“

My desperate attempts to clean it made it even worse. I called Jimmy Ayoub, the president of the company.
