“We engaged Mayflower back in 2021 for a kitchen remodel that turned out far better than we could have ever imagined. When it came time for a makeover of our master bathroom in 2023, we knew who to call!As with our kitchen, the master bathroom in our Del Ray, VA duplex is TINY and therefore has very little storage space. In fact, other than a small medicine cabinet, there was no storage at all to speak of. So this was priority number one. Other than that, we just wanted an updated shower/bath with modern fixtures, a more powerful toilet, and better lighting.After another wonderful design consultation with Nicole (she is the best!), we scheduled the work to be done when we’d be out of town for a couple of weeks. This is the second remodel that Mayflower has done in our absence and they take tremendous care to keep our house clean and return it to its original state when done.Again, we returned to a bathroom that looked better than we ever expected! “I found this company after reading a string of positive reviews on Yelp - and wow, are they great. When I called, Elsa answered right away and helped me come up with a plan for carpeting the upstairs of our house. She offered to send someone out quickly, and a representative came out a day or two later to take measurements and show us some samples. Everything moved so fast and it was all done very professionally, within the space of a week. Notably, Installation was about 10 times faster and easier (for us) than I anticipated. Ned and his team arrived early on a rainy/snowy morning and it took them 4 hours to do all of our upstairs areas (3 bedrooms, four closets). And, they moved all of our furniture to do it. We were very grateful for the excellent work and high quality carpeting. And Elsa was super in communicating with us and keeping everything on track. Major kudos to this company!“

“Dealing with Clawes was a great experience from start to finish. After receiving proposals from three companies for a straightforward carpeting job and a far more difficult wood flooring job, we felt much more comfortable dealing with Doug from Clawes. A previous general contractor had renovated our kitchen by installing new wood floors and then badly damaging them during the cabinet and appliance installation. The existing wood planks ran under the the cabinets so the old floor would need to be cut where they met. Doug assured me he had a crew that could do the job without damaging the new cabinets, but he was straightforward in advising that the only issue might be the need for shoe molding to hide any slight gap where the new flooring and cabinets met, meaning that we could lose use of two toe kick cabinets at floor level.The crew, led by Esser and Fidel, were every bit as good as Doug said they were. They not only cut away the old flooring and installed the new flooring without the slightest scratch, but they also painstakingly removed the toe kick drawers and other molding at the bottom of the cabinets so there was no gap where they met, avoiding the need for shoe molding and maintaining use of the two floor level drawers. This company is terrific!“
