“Dealing with Clawes was a great experience from start to finish. After receiving proposals from three companies for a straightforward carpeting job and a far more difficult wood flooring job, we felt much more comfortable dealing with Doug from Clawes. A previous general contractor had renovated our kitchen by installing new wood floors and then badly damaging them during the cabinet and appliance installation. The existing wood planks ran under the the cabinets so the old floor would need to be cut where they met. Doug assured me he had a crew that could do the job without damaging the new cabinets, but he was straightforward in advising that the only issue might be the need for shoe molding to hide any slight gap where the new flooring and cabinets met, meaning that we could lose use of two toe kick cabinets at floor level.The crew, led by Esser and Fidel, were every bit as good as Doug said they were. They not only cut away the old flooring and installed the new flooring without the slightest scratch, but they also painstakingly removed the toe kick drawers and other molding at the bottom of the cabinets so there was no gap where they met, avoiding the need for shoe molding and maintaining use of the two floor level drawers. This company is terrific!“

Prices were incredibly reasonable, he was prompt (early!), communicative, fast, and did an AMAZING job. “I wish there were an option for 6 stars because that's what I would give David! He is an exceptional professional who genuinely cares and goes above and beyond for his customers. For those who have ever dealt with water damage and mold, you know it is an incredibly stressful situation that upends your life. So I wish we had met David under better circumstances, but I'm so glad we found him to do the mold remediation. His meticulous attention to detail, experience, and knowledge alone is enough to hire him, but in addition, he comes recommended by independent highly regarded mold testing/environmental professionals. In addition to all of the above, David is incredibly hard working and did everything he could to accommodate us. We have a lot of allergies in our family so David brought in an extra air scrubber and left all 3 air scrubbers with us to help us out during the re-construction process. He absolutely did not have to do that. He also didn't have to leave up the containment barrier for the re-construction phase, but he did. Because that is the kind of person he is! And because we were in such a bind, David put us in touch with folks to do the re-construction, etc. and helped us managed that process. He also answered ALL our questions promptly, even after he had completed the job. I do not frequently give such glowing reviews, but I truly simply cannot recommend David highly enough! If you want someone who cares and won't treat you like a number AND will do an exceptional job, call David. He will go above the call of duty to help you out.“
