This is a follow-up to my previous review. Earlier this year, Royal Floors refinished our existing hardwood and installed new flooring. After we had new kitchen cabinets installed, I contacted them about a few spots where the old cabinets had been. I thought there was dried stain and sealer creating raised ridges on the floor, and I offered to pay to have those areas sanded and refinished along with the rest of the flooring along the kitchen cabinets.
Amin drove out the same day (a 50-minute trip) to take a look. He examined the areas and told me they were in good condition and did not need any sanding or refinishing. What I was seeing was simply dried glue from the cabinet installation, which could be removed with a glue softener—an easy DIY fix.
Amin could easily have sold me the additional work I offered to pay for, but he did the honest thing and told me it wasn’t necessary. He even helped me remove the glue. When I offered to pay him for his time and gas (what turned out to be an unnecessary trip for him), he refused and simply said to contact him if I ever had any other questions or concerns.
Seven months later, the floors are still in perfect shape. Amin is a genuinely honest professional. In an industry where too many contractors look for ways to upsell, Royal Floors chooses to do the right thing, stand behind their work, and put the customer first. Highly recommended.”
