“I had a really good experience overall. Lucky for me my AC compressor died right before it cooled off for winter and I had no rush to get it replaced. I worked with John Cantu and he was great giving me many different options from several different manufactures. I had lots of questions from my research and he was always helpful and responded quickly. I never felt like I was being upsold and their price was actually cheapest I received. Other companies I got quotes from made me feel like I invited a used car salesman into my house. I got a completely new AC/Heater and air handler for a reasonable price. I didn't have to wait long for the installation and it was done in a single day. The plenum ducting above my air handler was much better than my previous installation, and they upgraded my gas line from a flex pipe to a hard pipe as required by current code. The wiring was also much tidier than before. I was going to pay cash for the system but with my credit score they were able to get me 0% down 0% financing over 1 year so I went with the financing. I had a good experience and recommend them.“

“Great company to work with. Jon helped me select and install a heat pump in 2022. I picked Jon both because the estimate was reasonable, and because I liked the way he patiently explained things and didn't try to pressure us into anything the way some of the other companies I got estimates from did. It was a tough install due to space constraints in my older house and he worked magic to get it done.

He and the heat pump have been awesome since then, too. The heat pump itself is a continuously variable one and it is just so, so much better in terms of comfort in the house than the single stage AC unit I'd had before. When I had an issue with it in 2024, he cleverly diagnosed the issue (water had gotten into an electrical connector due to a design flaw) and worked with Carrier to get the warranty part, but went above and beyond to track down a part in a local unit to get me up and running immediately rather than waiting days for it to get shipped (the issue happened over a holiday weekend, of course). Once installed he compensated for the design problem with an alternative routing of the cable so water would not come back into the connector.

“I wish there was a sixth star option. We have a commercial location in Lakeway. We discovered the blower motor was dead and had little hope of being open for clients. Liberty squeezed us in between appointments, diagnosed the issue and had it resolved within a couple hours. “A HUGE shout out Christian and the Capital Air team. My parents live two hours away from me and their AC was clearly not working (88-90 inside the house). I called Capital Air on Monday and that afternoon Christian was onsite to check things out. Turns out a few things were either need to be replaced or newly installed. They went with the new install due to the age of the unit and yesterday had them up and running and my parents are beyond grateful. Christian was absolutely one of the nicest, most polite technicians I have ever dealt with (he was working through me most to help my parents). He was always prompt on the text or calls back, he was on time when he said he would be there and did a great job communicating everything to my parents. Often it's difficult to find people who have integrity and trust in their work. Christian and Capital Air show that there are still really solid companies out there with strong work ethics.
