“We had Jon, the trainer for Canine Courtyard, out for a home visit with our rambunctious 3 year old Super Mutt, Amiri, and it was life changing for our household. I believe Jon trained my daughter and me more than Amiri! We worked on how to control Amiri’s jumping on us and guests upon arriving home and then we worked on “place.” Mr Amiri was stubborn but with Jon’s patience and calm demeanor, Amiri was putting himself on the mat and staying in place before Jon left for the evening. We have continued working with Amiri at home and it’s so nice to have ALL of us be more calm and collected in the evenings! I highly recommend Jon for any training needs you might have, and we love Canine Courtyard for all our day care and boarding needs as well.“

“I brought my two stinky dogs, and they came back squeaky-clean. One of my Dog is aggressive on the grooming table, but they manage to trim him. Although there are some parts on his legs that are not trimmed, considering my dog's behavior, they tried their best, and I am satisfied with their job.“

“I am one of those people that will typically only take time to write a review if the product / service was exemplary or the complete opposite. This is definitely a case of the former! We ended up coming to Valley Ranch Pet Clinic in late 2020 / early 2021 during the pandemic, after losing our beloved Golden Retriever. We used to go to another local vet, but I was very hurt when they did nothing to acknowledge our dog's passing. He was our world, and they knew it! I was so distraught over the sudden hemangiosarcoma diagnosis at an emergency clinic and having to "put him down" that I reached out to Dr. Capp to make sure I had done the right thing. She was so comforting! She had just met me and still set aside time just to speak to me about an animal she had never seen! Turns out she had Goldens in the past and understood their propensity to cancer. From then on, we were "sold".Shortly after, we brought our two senior cats to see Dr. Capp for their senior well-visit. Dr. Capp and her staff were so kind and thorough! It was such a comfort knowing we had a good vet after losing our dog. Fast forward and unfortunately, both cats have now passed away. The first went to the Rainbow Bridge in the summer of 2021 and our oldest met her there just a few weeks ago. We hadn't been into the clinic in a while because I had moved, but when I reached out recently to get the records for a younger kitty my daughter had brought in, I mentioned the recent passing, and we just received a lovely condolence card signed by the entire staff. This meant so much, particularly given our previous vet had done nothing of the sort when our sweet Golden died. I only briefly mentioned our cat's passing and Dr. Capp and team sent a card shortly thereafter. Simply amazing.I really can't say enough about Valley Ranch Pet Clinic or Dr. Capp and her staff! If you are looking for a new vet or just a second opinion, look no further!“

“I’ve been going here for years. My beautiful black kitty chachas was been a regular here for years all the way to her final day. As devastating It was one of the staff reached out to me informed me of Darla needs a home. She had one of her eye removed but the next day after the surgery, she was ready to play and live. I’m going through a personal hard time but the staff Jennifer introduced me to Darla and thanks to this vet staff and Darla, all of you have definitely saved me.If you worried about your ‘pets’ if they are in good hands or not? Come to this vet. They are in great hands. You will be greeted by two of the official welcoming kitties there.“

“Saving AstroWhen we first adopted Astro, we had no idea what we were getting into. He seemed like a big, friendly husky. “He’s food aggressive,” said the lady at the rescue society where we picked him up. No problem, I thought. Over the last twenty years we’ve had many huskies, usually have at least 4 or 5 at a time, and I’ve dealt with dogs growling over their food bowl before and gotten through it. Astro, however, was much worse than that. He didn’t just have food aggression, he also had severe fear issues and clearly had been beaten or backed into a corner before. By the time we got to Victoria we had been through one trainer and Astro had bitten me three times, the last time pretty severely. I was lucky he hadn’t sent me to the hospital. For the first time in our life, my husband and I seriously considered euthanasia as an option. We couldn’t give him back to any adoption center or rescue knowing the danger he posed. We couldn’t let him put our other dogs at risk, not to mention the neighborhood kids. We had already put him on doggie Prozac, and he was still biting. Our vet suggested an animal behaviorist, as opposed to just a trainer. My husband found Victoria on a Google search and we asked her to come over right away. She started with evaluating all our dogs interacting together at my house, and spent well over an hour with me talking through the different incidents with Astro and when they happened, and what had happened before and after each incident. We had initially thought maybe we would send Astro to board with her and train for several weeks, but after the home visit she recommended that he stay here while we trained. Astro had so much fear and uncertainty in his behavior, he didn’t really need to be put in yet another new environment.Without going into every single detail, what I can tell you is that Astro today is a completely different dog than the one that would crouch at the back of his crate showing me all his teeth. He’s happy and gaining confidence every day. He used to shy away from our other dogs (including him we have 5 huskies), but now he plays with them. I went from being afraid to place a food bowl in front of him, to where now, when I place down the bowl, he’s wagging his tail and half the time I get a “thank you” slurp on the face as I put it down in front of him.Yes, it took months, and we had to get here in stages, but he’s part of the family now and a completely different dog. We carefully followed Victoria’s weekly instructions, to the letter. That means about 5 or 10 minutes EVERY day, 2 to 3 times a day, going through the exercises she showed us. It works, and it worked wonders for us. She pinpointed the very specific triggers and problems with Astro, and we worked in steps to train him to think and react differently and unlearn those bad behaviors. Victoria is not a “sit and stay” trainer. She looks at your dog’s individual and specific problems, and then tailors a program unique to your situation. We highly recommend her.“

“I cannot say enough good things about Anne! She took time out of her busy day to call me and speak with me at length about the puppy I am getting this coming Monday. She gave so many helpful tips and amazing advice and I’m only on her waitlist! Aka she did all of this out of the kindness of her heart. This is really a rare quality these days and I am so unbelievably thankful for her wisdom, insight, and time! Highly recommend this trainer!“

“I have gone to Dr. Matt Morrison for many years. I trust his skills. He is also compassionate and funny. He explains things well. He has seen me through several Samoyeds and Pugs. His staff is excellent...very low turnover. When you call, they know you..and your pet.July 29, 2023. I had a wonderful, though sad, experience at Riverchase Animal Hospital. My sweet 13 year old Samoyed, Blitz, had to be euthanized, a horrible decision almost all of us have to make, in order to keep our pets from pain. For 20 years I have found Dr. Morrison to be extremely knowledgeable and with first rate veterinary skills. The compassion we experienced on that difficult day, through the entire staff and the techs touched us greatly. Though Dr. Morrison is retiring soon, I believe Riverchase is in excellent hands with Dr. Dees-Atkinson. She cared for Blitz the last couple of weeks of his life and even emailed me with assistance on her days off! Blitz loved to go to the vet as she patted him (a lot!). To finish the story, we received flowers from Riverchase the next day. I could not recommend a clinic more highly to those neighbors in Coppell.“
