“I've been using Ted Thompson for maybe a year for regular service of AC & furnace. Even before their first visit, Tammy talked me out of paying them for service she knew based on her expertise that I didn't need when I called them to schedule. Rob, the technician I have met, is always friendly and obviously highly competent. Early last night my furnace died in the middle of a spell of sub-freezing temperatures. Rather than calling a 24-hour service, I stuck it out overnight in the house and called Ted Thompson first thing this morning. Rob was out here by 11:30 and had my furnace up and working again in under an hour. Literally a life-saver. I cannot say enough good things about this small but mighty team, but they have my business for life now. FWIW I posted on social media today about how great they are and another complete stranger from the pgh area commented "I know those folks and can confirm. “My first experience with Rick (R.H.Barkley) was about 10 years ago. My furnace had died and no one could seem to figure out what was wrong. That is until Rick showed up; he kept that old furnace running throughout a very cold winter. He cleaned the furnace and picked up the smallest piece of wire off the floor, he actually left the basement cleaner than it was when he got there. When I saw that I knew we finally had a dependable HVAC professional. March the following year Rick installed a new furnace and A/C system for an incredibly reasonable price.

About five years ago we moved and had Rick come out to check the new furnaces and AC. He cleaned it all up, installed a new modern filter that only needs changed twice a year. Fast forward to April of this year when we had that humid 80+ degree day. When I turned the AC on I got nothing. We were expecting company, including an 18 month old baby boy. I wasn’t sure how the baby would react to that heat. It was a Saturday so I got his service when I called. I was desperate so called another company, and the guy didn’t have a clue. Rick called, came right out and had it fixed within 30 minutes. He immediately knew what the problem was and then took care of going over everything else to be sure we’d be good shape. Another beautiful job at a great price. Simply put R.H. Barkley does an amazing job and has a top notch work ethic. Rick's knowledge and attention to detail is always welcomed and appreciated.
