Janie and Aaron have been terrific to work with on many events we have had over the years. We just had a wedding and they were once again extremely easy to work with and very thoughtful about making sure we have what we need. They go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect.
This is the second time I have been to therapy for my right ankle in the past few months. Everyone at the Altoona Drayer is amazing. Such wonderful, friendly staff. Isaac is so funny and makes therapy a good time, not something to dread. I've also had Justin and Wanda. They are both awesome as well. I would definitely recommend them to everyone. They helped me heal and get better, but I will definitely miss their smiling faces ?

I went to shear perfections with damaged hair that was filled with iron that physically turned my hair orange. Shear perfections worked with me for a while getting the iron out of my hair and getting back to it's thick, natural state. The did my entire bridal parties hair and makeup and did phenomenal. I continue to go back for hair color and cuts and I'm always pleased. I also get my eyebrows done there and had coworkers compliment how good they are. Love the girls and the hair they create.

I see Steve Snyder and she cuts and colors my hair and does amazing. She does nails also. She only works on weekends but they are open during the week also. Stevey is just there on the weekends.

The waiting time is very short, even on busy days. If you schedule in appointment, you're almost always called back within 3 minutes of the scheduled time. I've been getting my hair done here for years, all staff is very friendly and knows what their doing. Jen has always done my hair, and she is brilliant. She's able to do almost anything you ask and do it the exact way you want it. She's also very friendly and you can tell she enjoys her job. I have NEVER had a negative experience here and I always leave feeling confident!

I was home on leave after graduating Marine Corps boot camp in May of 1991 and was in Altoona and in need of a haircut. I remember being in the plaza off of the Frankstown exit and a fellow Marine recommended Triangle Barber Shop! I got lost trying to find it, never going down to Altoona while in highschool, but eventually found it and I'm glad I did! Best military haircut I had, even better than boot camp and even afterwards in Okinawa Japan! I've been getting the same haircut for over 35 years after the USMC, from a laborer to a corrections officer with over 25 years. Always got the best military fade haircut!

12/10 Good hours, good parking and nice and big place. But the star of the show are the people that work here. The ladies were polite, sweet and personable. The gentlemen were kind, respectful and professional. My nail tech paid excellent attention to me. She was extremely talented with the steadiest hand! Her coworker did a French and a tortoise shell design!

Dear Frank, I can’t reply directly to your review, but I truly appreciate the five stars. I’m actually the “angry woman” you mentioned—I was being very sarcastic. I showed James a photo of what I thought I wanted, and while he delivered exactly that, I ended up not liking it. He fixed it right away—no issues, no damage. I just wanted to share this here in hopes you see it someday.
If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about their clients and takes pride in their work, James is your guy! I recently took my kids to him for haircuts, and I was blown away by how patient and kind he was. My two sons absolutely hate getting their hair cut, but James worked his magic and made them feel completely at ease. Their haircuts turned out great—clean, stylish, and exactly what we wanted.
He also gave my daughter a gorgeous layered haircut that we both couldn’t stop admiring. You can tell James genuinely loves what he does and puts so much care into every detail.
The salon is easy to get to in Altoona, even if you’re coming from Hollidaysburg, Tyrone, Bellwood, or Duncansville. It’s definitely worth the drive.
We’ll absolutely be back. If you want someone who not only knows what they’re doing but also makes the whole experience enjoyable, James is the one to go to. Highly recommend!

Angie has more experience than others and has been doing hair for over 30 years. She dyed my hair easily, cut my bangs, and permed my hair. I am going to have layers cut like a girl's mullet with top short layers next week. I'm pretty sure she knows how to do it since she has lived in the 80s, but anyways, I highly recommend her. She is really good at hairstyling, and she has more experience. (The first photo is just the haircut I'm getting soon)
Sophie and all of her girls are amazing! My daughter and I see Sophie, and the way she welcomes my 10 year old into her chair is so heart warming. My daughter always leaves with a huge smile on her face and so do I. Studio 404 truly is the best salon in the Altoona and surrounding areas!

I joined a friend to get my 2nd lobe piercings done and it was one of the friendliest piercing experiences I have had so far! The shop had an overall comfortable vibe with our piercer (Derek Bell) being very conscious of our preferences of the location and type of jewlery. The time we spent was also very quick and easy for 2 walk-ins, with very minimal waiting time.

I had an emergency due to gas being turned off & was told I had a bad gas valve. I called them late night (11 pm) & literally within 5 minutes I got a call, the tech, Zach was here within 15 minutes, was thorough, very professional and explained everything. He was wonderful. I literally called about 12 plumbers, they are the only ones who came through for me & fixed the problem & the price was good as well. I will absolutely call them for any future needs, & I highly recommend them.
Service techs have been professional knowledge and offered solutions when needed. They need to carry replacement parts like water pads for those who need them . Yet on a scale of 1 to 10 they rank a solid 10.

So an emergency situation happened at the best time possible…..
……that time being mere hours from a predicted snowstorm and on a below freezing temperature Sunday afternoon.
Yea the best time for the furnace to decide to stop working!
So I called McAleer, though they were not really offering 24/7 emergency services at the time. But God intervened that day, through the power of prayer, and I was able to get into contact with the owner's son.
He listened to my plea and was able to get a technician sent out to look at the furnace, though, again, at a most inconvenient time.
But the technician he called on arrived quickly and got to work. This professional knew his craft, did the proper diagnostics and discovered that it was an igniter gone bad.
He replaced it and got the heat back on fast.
And the whole ordeal lasted maybe an hour from when I called McAleer’s, to when, praise the Lord, the problem was solved.
These guys today were like the Angels, part of an answer to prayer and professional problem solvers.
No matter what the price was today…..it was priceless service!

I was recommended by some friends to come see Dr. Schroeder because regular chiropractic wasn’t doing enough for me. I saw him one time and he has already made some major changes in the pain I was feeling. I had pinched nerves, chronic pain in my lower back and hips and he does just the right treatment to hit every spot that needs help. I have recommended at least 3-4 of my friends and family to him already in the first month of seeing him, and they are all very pleased as well! You will not be disappointed!

Ashli does a great job on Neeka and Bustle, she is sooo kind with them. Both are Shelties; and Ashli brings there beauty out. I just read the pervious poster's comment on her Sheltie, Daisy Mae. We lost our 16 year old Sheltie "Daisy Mae, a little over a year ago to stomach cancer. Ashli groomed her too.
They do a really good job with the animals and are all really nice, they also are reasonably priced

Received a room immediately after entering. Only $60 for 60 minutes. It was a great massage with no interruptions. She has many techniques and magical Chinese hands. Bring some extra money because she offers extras like hot stones or if you want to extend from 30 minutes to 60 minutes.
