“You come to a place like this when something is going wrong with a pet, and I can’t overstate how reassuring it is to be in the care of such a competent team that is also warm and kind.<br><br>Dr Atkinson is not only brilliant, but has also built a strong team to support her. From the first time I called (fresh off a long weekend of emergency vet visits) and talked to Jimmi who was warm, empathetic, and helpful— to visits in the clinic with Allison and Dr. Atkinson— I’ve just been really impressed by the whole team.<br><br>Dr. Atkinson was the top recommendation of a vet I really trust and it’s clear why. As a testament to this team’s skills, they were able to get our VERY spicy cat shaved and comfortably on each side for his echocardiogram without any sedatives. After a couple of visits, they’ve always made it very clear that they are available for any questions and have been great about reaching out for follow up as well. I think that’s impressive for a clinic that is clearly very busy.<br><br>These services aren’t cheap, but I don’t think you can talk about cost without also talking about value— and here I think you’ll find the best deal in town. Our cat, Bug, has never been very polite or gracious in the clinic— but my husband and I will always be incredibly grateful to this doctor and her team.”

“I switched to wildwood from a very long care with rose city vet since 2020. I was not happy w/ my dr/drs there when it came to my dogs senior care. they just kept giving me the same medications and hard to see one dr. Wildwood vet Dr. johnson listen to us carefully and had great solutions and if one thing didn’t work she offered another.<br>my senior pup I believed lived extra longer because of their care and suggestion of medications. He was not in pain and although I wished he lived little longer, I believe he left when he needed to and after my dog passed wildwood sent me a sweet sympathy card. I appreciate the detail and care. I will be going back to have them care for my 2nd pup. Thank you for great vet care with presto & many more to come! It is not easy to find trusted vet care.”

They are so well organized and we never have to wait for more than 10 minutes. They have every question answered for me and offer great advice on how to best keep my cats healthy. “My German Shephard had to have exploritory surgery. Needless to say I was worried about how he would do with all the things. Dr Marie Davis took the best care of both of us. My boi came thru the surgery none the worse for wear, and the staff kept me posted on all the things. Additionally, they did a follow up call the morning after just to check on him. “Hi all, my boyfriend and I are here in Portland visiting his family and we have a foster pup that ate a corn cob, at the time we did not know what it was. Dr. Bruno recommended giving IV fluids to see if it would move the obstruction farther down and hopefully get his body to digest it. But with no success the rescue that saved him from a major kill shelter in Az decided to do surgery. Dr. Bruno did an amazing job with surgically removing the corn cob and sowing him back up. We are so thankful for him seeing us and taking on our situation. He is an incredibly busy doctor and was getting ready to leave town but saw us anyways. He is also a local vet which we love to support the local community. I called at least 10 other Veterinarian hospital's and it seems as though Portland has been taken over by coperate Veterinarian hospitals. Their prices for surgery start between $3,500 & go as high as $12,000 for just removing an obstruction. That is absolutely ridiculous and it seems as though they are just taking advantage of the general public because once it becomes all corporate people will have no where else to go. This Veterinarian is considerably less expensive than the corporate hospitals. Support this local Vet they are wonderful. Their staff are all great, very caring and also very helpful. Pat is the Vet Technician that did a great job with our foster boy. The other technician are also all wonderful. I can not say enough positive things about this local Veterinarian hospital.”

“Highly recommend bringing your cats here! I was previously using Banfield and their services are not adequate for senior cats, especially one that has diabetes. Dr. Lynn Healy is knowledgeable, great with handling cats, and I trust her professional opinion. All of the vet staff is friendly, loves/knows cats, and are a joy to work with. The prices might be higher than Banfield, but you're paying for exceptional service that affects your cats longevity.”

“I have taking my dogs here for several years, and have nothing but praise for this clinic. They are attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. I trust them with my dogs and trust their guidance. They have never let me or my dogs down, and genuinely care about what’s best for the animal.<br><br>I highly recommend the Care Plans as they are really fairly priced and save money. They also make budgeting for their care way easier.”
“This review is long overdue. I have been a client of Animal dermatology for many years now. I have two older cats (siblings from the same litter) who unfortunately got the short end of the stick when it came to a unique case of allergies. I’ve had cats my whole life and this was the first time I’ve ever experienced cats with allergies. There were non-stop repeats of allergy flare ups that came with red, inflamed, and itchy skin in addition to mass hair loss on my cats. Unfortunately the treatments from our regular vet (who are great) were no longer having the same healing effects and the skin issues started to return in shorter intervals from the prior treatment. Our vet then referred our cats to Animal Dermatology. After some limited trial and error with Animal Dermatology, our cats have been really stable with the treatments provided by this clinic. Even with the occasional flare up, these vets have provided the necessary, temporary treatment to get them back to baseline. I will not sugar coat the cost, as this clinic is expensive. With that being said, the cost makes sense as these are specialists who truly are experts in their field. I cannot thank Animal Dermatology enough for not giving up on my cats and their difficult cases. Because of Animal Dermatology, my cats have been able to live longer, comfortable lives. Thank you!”

“We started coming here in 2018 when the rescue we got our pup from recommended it. When we got our 2nd pup a couple years later through a different rescue, they recommended the same place. We lost the vet we had been using for our two cats, but we didn’t really like them anyway. Yesterday we brought our 15 year old Kitty in, and they were so sweet with her. They’re just always so good with our pets, everyone is so friendly, and we always have a great experience.<br>I’m also going to speak to the cost. Vet care is expensive, but their pricing is fair and reasonable. It’s also really nice to not be constantly upsold on this or that. They have the info, but they don’t push or shame you to make expensive decisions on things your pets don’t need. They listen, and recommend what you really want and need for your pets instead. We’ve never had to turn away a service because it was too expensive at Willamette.<br>In addition, we drive almost an hour to get there even though we have plenty of vets within 5-10 minutes of us. Even in Friday afternoon traffic, it’s worth it to go the extra distance.”

This clinic cares and when I went in for a fairly routine appointment and found out my cat had a very serious urinary system problem going on, they were incredibly kind and allowed me all the time I needed to process.
