I have unfortunately had two dogs now with congenital heart disease. My first dog Huey they were able to extend his life by a year. After Huey passed the staff here sent us the most thoughtful sympathy card. I now have an 11 year old English bulldog who is now in CHF. I wouldn’t even think of going to another cardiologist. The entire team here is extremely caring and accommodating. My dog had to be admitted into the ER recently where we learned she had gone into CHF. Heart of Oregon was able to get us in the very next week to make sure her medications are working. I cannot recommend this clinic enough. Dr. Atkinson and her team were exceptional! My dog is anxious and fearful, and they all knew exactly how to make her feel comfortable and make the process as easy as can be (minimal eye contact, lots of cheese). In addition to that, Dr. Atkinson very thoroughly explained the what and why of my dog's condition and provided me with resources to further investigate.

I feel very confident taking my cats here for cardiac care. All of the staff are extremely professional, helpful, and caring. They do a great job explaining the care options and the purpose of each action. I appreciate that I can be in the exam room with my cat to help with keeping him calm.
