I love the Fear Free approach as Huggy Bear has anxiety and our former vet only did drop-offs on short notice. By the end of it all, he was the most calm I've ever seen him at a vet. The atmosphere was also very warm, professional, spacious and inviting from my perspective as well. Not to mention he recently got loose while I was at work and was wrangled by Drea, who works at RCVH. I never felt rushed and they made sure all of my concerns were addressed. All in all, this was the best experience we've had at a vet!
My dog Mili is getting older. Every year it seems that she has a new growth that requires surgery. It’s a scary world. I travel for work so finding a good vet is essential. This establishment stands out in every way. She went in for a routine check for her growths that were visible outside. During her biopsy, they suspected more. So as the truly experienced professionals that they are, they delved deeper, treating my dog as if she were their own. That alone is worth every penny and second of my time. My vet and the entire team at Rose City Vet has been so thorough with all of our appts and exams. They really take the time to explain what to expect or why something is for example scheduled a certain way - I never feel like they are “too busy” or impatient with me. It feels so nice to get that care even over the phone with staff that never met us, I almost have to retrain myself to allow that kind of great care and not feel guilty or withhold a question.
