16200 SW Pacific Hwy Ste K, Tigard“Hands down the best school in the area. The masters are deeply invested in the growth of students. They are fair but strict, which builds character and respect.“

8263 SW Wilsonville Rd, Wilsonville“Lee's Martial Arts Academy is a excellent Teakwondo studio. Very clean and free parking. Great instructors who are polite and disciplined. They helped the students learn respect and self-defense. My grandson looks forward to every class.“
9AM - 9PM
11200 SW Murray Scholls Pl #103, Beaverton“For the last four years, since my three kids started classes at Murrayhill Martial Arts, I have noticed considerable improvement in their lives with increased self-confidence, developed self-discipline and seem better skilled in self-defense should there be an imminent threat in school or in daily lives. Not to forget, the Belts earned.
I love that Master Kaari is strict about the rules of her dojo, does not allow distractions with the kid’s goals. She controls the class environment and maintains order, something that us parents need help with at home.
The coaches and instructors are very engaging. My kids love, love, love Coach Neela, Paige and the super talented, Coach Sophia, who makes a strong impact as a coach and trainer. Thank you so much for your diligence in all you do for kids and parents.
Summer camp service during holidays and no school days are very helpful. Stops the craziness of finding a babysitter while we are at work.
Saturday Parents Night Out are such a treat for kids and parents. Kids can be dropped off just for a fun party night while parents can go on a date till 9pm. Basically, babysitting while parents have some time alone.
Thank you for just being there for us!!!!“

1115 SE Stephens St, Portland“Really enjoyed my time training here. Coaches are welcoming and willing to answer questions without judgment. No toxic gym culture and felt very inclusive of all people regardless of sex and gender identity. I learned more here in 4 months than I did with 6 months of previous training in Muay Thai. Coach Ryan rocks!“

14935 SW 72nd Ave, Tigard“I’ve known Joe and the team since I was 14 — I’m 22 now — and there’s honestly no other gym like this one. The people here are humble, genuine, and always willing to help, no matter your level. Over the years they’ve become more than just instructors or training partners… they’re my friends.
I haven’t cheated on this gym yet and don’t plan to — unless I move out of state ?“

124 SW Yamhill St, Portland“Our 10 year old daughter has been taking classes here for about 6 months or so and we absolutely love it. She looks forward to going every week. Jordan & Ben do a PHENOMENAL job keeping the kids wrangled & engaged during class and steering every interaction into a teaching moment, even if the kids start getting rambunctious. They practice alot on actual breaks and holds that can be useful in real life situations and teach the importance of de-escalation strategies before responding with any measure of force. But then teach practical self defense skills when physical confrontation is unavoidable. Jordan & Ben are great with the kids, very patient and do an excellent job making sure the classes are always fun for them. We have tried a few other martial arts styles/programs and this one has been hands down our favorite for our kiddo.“
8AM - 9PM
17777 Pilkington Rd, Lake Oswego“Was looking for a female instructor to teach my kiddo some martial arts. Even better, it’s female, BIPOC owned. My kid has grown in strength and confidence with this program, in the 3 months they have attended. The owner/instructor is fantastic with kids. They are tough but fair and kind (which I like). We go twice a week and the classes have enough variation to keep kids engaged but enough consistency to help them improve. We are extremely pleased with Ketzal martial arts and will continue with this great program.“

12575 SW Allen Blvd, Beaverton“Discovering Choi's Tae Kwon Do in Beaverton, Oregon, was a turning point in my extensive martial arts journey. With over 50 years of Tae Kwon Do practice under my belt and having earned a 4th-degree black belt, I've had the privilege of training at more than 10 schools across the globe. Yet, it is at Choi's Tae Kwon Do where I've found a truly unparalleled experience.
What sets Choi's Tae Kwon Do apart is not just its rigorous adherence to the traditional values and techniques of the martial art but its commitment to fostering a community where respect, discipline, and personal growth are paramount. The instructors at Choi's demonstrate an exceptional blend of expertise, passion, and patience, ensuring that every student, regardless of their age or level, receives personalized attention and guidance.
The classes are well-structured, balancing physical conditioning, technique drilling, and sparring, all while maintaining a fun and supportive atmosphere. This approach not only enhances your physical capabilities but also deepens your understanding and appreciation of Tae Kwon Do's philosophy and history.
Moreover, the facilities at Choi's Tae Kwon Do are top-notch, offering a clean, spacious, and safe environment for training. The school also regularly hosts seminars, tournaments, and special events, providing ample opportunities for students to challenge themselves, showcase their skills, and connect with the wider Tae Kwon Do community.
Having experienced various Tae Kwon Do schools, I can confidently say that Choi's Tae Kwon Do stands out as a beacon of martial arts excellence. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or new to the world of martial arts, Choi's offers an enriching, empowering, and enjoyable journey. It's more than just a school; it's a family united by the love of Tae Kwon Do.“
“Review based on a visit to inquire a few questions about the membership. Coach and another lady who works there were both very friendly and explained well the structure of the training. I observed an intermediate/advanced class and really like the technical drills, not to tired folks out but to focus on getting the concept and the flow right. If my schedules work out I'll definitely consider training here.“

16410 SW Langer Dr, Sherwood“My daughter loves Musa! We have been coming to Musa for a few years. It has been great watching my daughter grow in skill and confidence. The team at Musa is passionate about developing great humans while teaching them Martial Arts. They teach respect, patience, and self defense.“

21552 Willamette Dr #2747, West Linn“My son and daughter have been attending the West Linn since early 2019. Sensei Ward has been a great role model for our children in teaching them discipline as well as the art of Aikido. Couldn't be happier.“
11:45AM - 1:30PM
10720 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, Beaverton“This is one of the main places I train, and I can't recommend it enough. This is the Impact headquarters, and it is where most of the higher belts in the Impact family train. Every class will have a high number of Brown/Black belts, and there are a lot of competition black belts. Michael Chapman, the head Black Belt, received his Black Belt from Chris Hauter, who is one of the dirty dozen. He's a 5th stripe black belt, and has been training jiu jitsu since 1991. You will rarely find a BB with the experience and knowledge Michael brings to the table. The gym is very large, very clean and very friendly. They have a lot of options in regards to classes with BJJ, MMA, Boxing, Muay Thai and Conditioning being a few of them. They offer a free week trial so you can get the feel of the gym and the vibe of the people. I'd highly recommend it.“
4 - 7:30PM
2940A SE Belmont St, Portland“I joined Traditional Taekwondo in 2019 with my two kids. It was just supposed to be something fun I could do with the kids, but I absolutely fell in love with it. Even through the pandemic, Master Johnson went above and beyond to keep students engaged, whether that meant classes via Zoom or classes in the park. I have never done a sport in my life, and this past spring (2025) I got my black belt - at age 51! The classes are rigorous and the instructors are extremely skilled. In addition to getting a great workout and learning an incredible traditional martial art, I have discovered a community that is supportive and dedicated. I highly recommend Traditional Taekwondo to students of all ages.“
6:30AM - 9PM
8775 SW Canyon Ln, Portland“This studio has been life changing for my 5 year old son. The coaches strike an amazing balance of being flexible and kind to the kids while also holding an expectation of good effort and good attitude. Coach Tom and Coach Dan in particular have such a good grasp of childhood development. My son has been here a year and started out not even able to make it through a class session without a meltdown due to being shy or having big feelings. But with patience and persistence, the coaches helped him week by week and now a year later he is confident and happy and loves going to class! Going to 5 rings is one of the best things we ever did for our son. 10/10 recommend.“

6547 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, Portland“We took our daughter here for a trial class today, and it was fantastic! Master Lee was great with the kids. He kept them engaged with fun activities while also implementing proper form and values. He made us all feel welcome, and we decided this was the right place for our daughter.“
“My kids love Ki Aikido training with the senseis in Hillsboro Dojo. They are all volunteers but very dedicated to the students. It could be a little boring at first for the kids, but once they are into it, they love it. I also like the fact that they teach them about focusing, relaxing, cordinating mind and body and how to deal with difficulties in school and in life. You are treated like family here.“
