“Between 1995 and 2021 we were loyal to a different clinic in Kitchener and brought all of our previous 4 dogs there for medical care. For a variety of reasons, we did not want to do the same for our new puppy. Having read countless strong reviews of the Wilmot Veterinary Clinic and, noting that it was independently owned, we made the switch. We are so happy that we did!

Dr. Lofsky is THE vet at the Wilmot Veterinary Clinic. (At our old clinic we never knew which of several vets we would see.) He is a caring individual who is very well-educated in veterinary medicine. Understanding the challenges of raising a puppy, he was able to provide practical advice and followed up by sending us additional reading material. Even though this is not our first puppy, we learned a lot.

He sat down and talked with us. We didn't feel rushed or like 'just another client'. Honestly, we have never had such a positive experience at a vet appointment. The entire staff were welcoming and kind.

We are thankful that we found this clinic and look forward to our next appointment.“

“Amazing pet hospital I've recommended to my whole family. Moved our pets files there after they were able to see my dog last minute with a ripped toe nail,(they were very honest in telling us he would be ok and required no treatment)and haven't thought twice about it. Unlike our last clinic where we sometimes had to wait in a crowded waiting room for 15-20 minutes with an increasingly anxious dog or cat, they always have a room ready so we can just go right in where it's a bit more calming. They also suggested a blood recheck for my more senior cat when some levels were low, unfortunately I totally forgot with the holidays but they called and were able to see her the very next day. Then we got results via a phone call from the doctor just a couple hours later-we hadn't even finished our Christmas shopping for the day and yet the results were already in! Will always bring our pets here, they're just so patient, caring and calm, and that definitely carries over to our pets. Thank you for all you do!

June 2026 Edit: Different dog, same amazing care. Our new girl is not great with needles at all, but the team at Gateway was still able to give her the surgery she needed and she's acting like her usual self already. I was worried with her size and needle fears it would be impossible, but we got it done. We're now working with needles at home and will be bringing her in for practice runs for future visits, despite her fears they always seem happy to see her. Thank you again to the whole team but especially Dr.Caroline who has infinite patience with a phobic dog and anxious pet parents.“

“When my previous vet was just stop gapping some issues we tried Kingsdale. Every member of staff was incredible. Things didn't end up the way we'd hoped but we gained probably an extra week or two with our beloved cat. Now that we've adopted two new trouble makers the level of care continues to be top notch (including their boarding services). We are so grateful for the wonderful folks at Kingsdale. Cannot recommend them enough.“
