Friday I was looking for a barber in the area as I’m new here so gave it a try and after reading the reviews about the walk in clients I was a bit skeptical, but being that I wanted some food for the Tony’s spot next door I said let me see if these guys can help. Ok so here it is ? 1. I walked in and was welcomed by Mike who quickly as I walked in asked “hey do you have an appointment?” Not only did he get me in I was amazed that he is working while still recovering from a broken leg injury or some type. 2. He stated to me, sir, give me one second as I want to disinfect My Barber tools. I was impressed because I never seen a barber do that in front of me. He also explained to me that there are a lot of barbers out there that are dirty and do not disinfect the shave boxes that they put on the back of the head of the customers and told me next time sit and watch and another shop as well as the health hazards it can cause. 3. I didn’t only get a good haircut but my beard as well was perfect. I’m glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews which I told Mike about, that are online. But I will say I did love his reply “ we are Whitestone finest and yes, we’re going to have plenty of competition and haters that hate us”. Mike you have a new steady weekly and thanks for the laughs with Donte and the Marcus you are the best. Ps, I still think Jordan is better then LeBron!

The boiler was over 50 years old, Agee came installed a new boiler in less than a day , priced right, neat, clean, and professional . The other times they came and fixed the issues. I have never had a bad haircut from Kragen. He is a perfectionist and he’s consistent. My hair always looks great. You can tell if your cut is good when you blow it out on your own. It always looks like I stepped out of a salon. Also, he listens when you tell him, “just cut 1/4 inch off.” In my opinion, he’s the best. Also, he’s probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet.
I would highly recommend Jasmine and Christina! Jasmine is so professional and experienced, and always makes my hair look so stylish and healthy! She also does very creative nail designs. Christina gave me awesome highlights and really knows what looks good on her clients! Everyone is so kind and you are treated like family when you go there.

Best barbershop in the neighborhood! Nick gave me a great haircut, and the whole place has an awesome vibe. The lighting is perfect, movies are playing with excellent surround sound, and there’s even a Mortal Kombat arcade machine to keep you entertained while you wait. They also offer free coffee and drinks, which is a nice touch. The staff is friendly and welcoming—definitely my go-to spot.

I’ve been going to Vinny for years, before he took over this shop and made it his own. Always gives 10/10 cuts, and is the reason why I followed him here. At the start of taking over, Desiree gave me a cut and it was also fantastic. If Vinny were to retire tomorrow and have Desiree take over, I know I’d be in great hands.
Call ahead, make an appointment if you want to be seen in a timely manner. Otherwise you roll the dice as a walk-in, which is to be expected.
I have been coming to Sammy's for years. They have several Barbers, all of who are great, but one in particular stands out for me. Her name is Julia. I have been going to Julia exclusively for around three years now, and I must say, she is the Greatest. She is very skilled and knowledgeable at her craft. She remembers you and what your cut style is, she is careful and Precise, and Excellent with a Razor. She makes getting a haircut and a shave (even waxing) a Great Experience. I highly Recommend Sammy's and I highly Recommend Julia, the Best !!

This was my first time going here. I had been looking for a good nail salon in queens for three years since I moved here and i am very picky when it comes to my nails and I don’t always have the time to drive to NJ where I’m originally from to get my nails done. I called to see if they had availability and if they could take me without an appointment and the gentleman on the phone told me they could. I am blown away by how beautiful my nails came out! Mia did exactly what I asked her to do, she was so thorough and asked me if everything was good as she worked on my nails. She is so gentle and her work is stunning! I’m obsessed with my nails. This place is beautiful and very clean. Even the Spanish girl that did my feet was very sweet and did an amazing job as well. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be returning. Excellent Job and very Talented worker. Hing and his assistant Miche took my bathroom from a 0 to a 10. Loved the work. Very pleasant people to work with. I will definitely recommend Rashaw Plumbing for Professional, kind, experienced service. I had new toilet and Sink and Vanity that needed assembling installed they were GREAT!!!!!
I needed a new water heater. Tidal Plumbing sent a plumber and assistant. The process of disconnecting the old heater, removing it, installing and upgrading the pipes, and installing the new heater was seamless. They kept me advised throughout the whole process, during which they put down drop-cloths to protect the floor from dirt/damage. Very mindful of the property while they worked. Very thorough and efficient in their work, but friendly as well. Answered any questions I had and explained when they were going to do anything e.g. shutting off water, turning on faucets. Tidal Plumbing is tech savvy. Got email alerts confirming work scheduled with a ballpark time slot. Received texts when they were almost there. Used photo features to show work and progress to MP which saved so much time.
Finally a company that is respectable in this industry! After a major rain had a clog in my front drain flooded my entire basement. While it was raining I called up several companies who quoted me 300,400,500 plus or said they couldn't even do it. Discount Drain was sub $200!
Dont use Rooter Rooter! It's a scam, they say free estimate.. starting at $495, but they'll give u discounts to $395 and try to upcharge on things.
Discount drain wasn't my first choice with so low ratings, but happy to say if everyone they worked with rated them, I'm sure it would be much higher.
The tech who came out was knowledgeable, great to deal with, and after snaking even had to do a quick blow out.. no extra charge!
Oh and even gave me tips on how to stop it in the future!
