“I am sitting here grieving the loss of my beloved little cat, Grey, who passed yesterday. I am still trying to find my footing in the middle of this overwhelming, leveling grief, and one of the few things that feels grounding right now is expressing my gratitude to Roslyn Village Veterinary Center for the extraordinary care they gave to both my cat and to me.

Grey was diagnosed with terminal cancer in October, and over the past two months the entire focus was on comfort and quality of life. From the very beginning, every single person at this practice—from the administrative staff to the veterinary technicians to the doctors—treated us with compassion, patience, and genuine kindness. Phone calls were always returned, questions were answered thoughtfully, and I was never made to feel rushed, dismissed, or alone during an incredibly painful journey.

Dr. Vezza and his son, both veterinarians, cared for Grey with remarkable honesty, empathy, and humanity. They guided me through every step with clarity and grace, never pushing unnecessary treatments or services, and always centering decisions on what was best for my cat and what I could emotionally handle. Their calm presence and steady guidance meant more to me than I can possibly express.

The veterinary technicians were gentle, attentive, and deeply compassionate throughout the entire process. Their quiet reassurance, tenderness toward Grey, and kindness toward me during moments of profound vulnerability will stay with me forever. The administrative staff was equally wonderful—supportive, responsive, and accommodating during one of the hardest periods of my life.

The office itself is beautiful—newly renovated, spotless, and equipped with state-of-the-art technology—but what truly sets Roslyn Village Veterinary Center apart is the people. The integrity, communication, and compassion shown by the entire team is rare and invaluable.

I have a very aggressive and large dog and they so kindly squeezed me in when he started limping. They were extremely patient with both me and my dog Sam. Dr. Kremmerman, Malik, Diana and the front desk staff (I’m so sorry I forgot your names!!!) were absolutely wonderful and made this process so much less stressful. “My cat, Zephyr, and I are grateful beyond words!!!!! I recently moved back to NY and didn't have a regular vet setup yet when my cat required emergency dental extractions. Every other vet I called (I called many!) required multiple, costly pre-procedure visits before they would do any dental procedures. My cat was in pain with an active infection in his mouth and this was unacceptable!! Not only was Crawford Animal Hospital the most affordable, but I was able to walk in without an appointment and have his procedure done on the same day!! Dr. Josh was incredibly compassionate towards my cat's needs and my financial situation, and the staff were all so professional, friendly, and clearly love animals. The procedure itself went well and I was able to take my cat home on the same day. He recovered quickly that evening and was 100% by the following morning. I waited a couple of days to post this review in case of any adverse reactions, but I'm happy to report that were none!! Thank you so much Dr. Josh and team for your excellent veterinary care!!!“

They do not shame- my cat is overweight and they remained focused on a plan, not on making me feel like a bad pet parent. Whats even crazier is that my cats do not fear the carrier. While they will cry in the car once they are in the vet office they are calm. They come home relaxed. I think about all the trauma my other cats had at previous vets and it honestly breaks my heart knowing this was an option the whole time. VCG are profoundly lovely and caring people.“

“Mid Island Animal Hospital is a Veterinary practice and hospital that goes above and beyond. I wanted to share this experience so others, who love their animals, would know about how wonderful the care is at Mid Island Animal Hospital. I have been taking my golden retriever puppy there since she was 12 weeks old. Recently, my 17 month old dog stopped eating and was just sleeping all day which was not like her at all. I thought maybe she had a stomach parasite or some other simple issue. We were taken that same day and seen by Dr. Stephanie Acevedo. Dr. Acevedo was extremely professional, knowledgeable, patient, kind, and compassionate. She understood we were in shock and upset with the test results and she took the time to explain everything several times. She never rushed us out or made us feel bad about asking so many questions. She was so knowledgeable and compassionate. She was just great with my dog. The dog required emergency surgery and Dr. Acevedo arranged everything with the surgeon so that the procedure went smoothly. She guided and helped us through this difficult and stressful time. Thank God that the surgery was a success and my girl will be just fine. Huge thank you to Dr. Acevedo for saving my girl. I must also add that the Vet techs and front office personnel are just amazing. They treat both pets and families with kindness and respect. From beginning to end, this practice takes care of and goes above and beyond for their patients. Your family is in good hands at Mid Island Animal Hospital.
