“We recently had our hot water heater fail, resulting in a 2-inch flood in our basement on a Saturday night at 6 pm. After contacting our insurance carrier, we were referred to ServePro of Garden City/Hempstead. Kelly and Tim promptly sent a team of two people to our home by 9:30 pm. They quickly assessed the situation, ensured all water was turned off to prevent further leakage and efficiently mopped up the water using highly effective shop vacs. They removed all wet carpet and padding, relocated furniture and personal belongs that were not wet and took out all wet items. They left six commercial grade fans and two dehumidifiers for three days to ensure everything was thoroughly dry. ServePro had a team of four people returned the next morning, which was Sunday to begin extracting all wet sheetrock and disinfecting the floor and wood studs.
