“In the total chaos that an unexpected death can entail, James Funeral Home went above and beyond all expectations. From the moment we walked in, just hours after my moms passing, we were greeted with empathy and compassion. Kristy was our director. She guided us throughout the entire planning process with such professionalism and compassion. She answered every question, planned the services for the wake and funeral. She even set up the catering room and helped plan the menu. She asked questions about moms life, so she could portray who she was.
She was so patient and kind throughout the entire planning process. She knew when to leave the room to allow us to discuss preparations and let us cry privately.
She was with us every step of the way.
She left us in good hands for the viewing with the other two directors. I forget their names. But they were just as wonderful.
Kristy directed the funeral herself the next day.
My mom looked absolutely beautiful. After being in a hospital for about a month, she did not of course look “herself “. She took the pictures we had of mom, and made sure she looked herself. We were all amazed at how wonderful she looked.
My dad, bless his heart, wants Kristy to take charge when it’s his time to be with mom.
I cannot say enough wonderful words of the absolute care that was taken during this most traumatic time.

“Nicole was amazing! We brought vestments for Mom and a 7 foot rosary bead to be placed in casket. She ironed vestment and arranged it magnificently next to casket. She inserted beads perfectly and had a beautiful message from grandchildren placed inside. We never needed to ask for anything as they were always there anticipating all. What a wonderful funeral home. They made a sad day peaceful.“
