I recently hired A&A Custom Floors for what many companies might consider a small job, and I couldn't be happier with the results. After having our kitchen floor retiled, the existing transition saddle no longer lined up properly with the new tile. Because the tile transition followed a unique zig-zag pattern, we needed a completely custom solution.
Aaron and his team were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly from start to finish. They carefully removed the old saddle and custom-built a beautiful white oak reducer saddle that perfectly followed the contours of the transition. The craftsmanship was exceptional, and the attention to detail was obvious every step of the way.
What impressed me most was how well they matched the stain to our existing hardwood floors it blends seamlessly and looks like it was always part of the original design. The finished product not only solved the problem but significantly improved the overall appearance of the space.

Just had Adjo at our property to abandon our septic tank and connect us to the sewer system. Not only is the admin team super responsive and friendly, but the crew arrived on time, and everyone was super professional and congenial. They got the entire job done in a single day, which is impressive, given the scope, and they left our property super neat and clean. They spent quite a while compacting the soil after the work was done, which we genuinely appreciate so that we avoid sinking and potential damage to the pipes later on. They even brought in top soil and laid it down over our dirt. I’ve been living in my home since 2022, and I’ve had a persistent, frustrating issue where my outdoor hose water would never run cold—it was always lukewarm, even after running it for a long time. I’ve had multiple contractors over the years for various plumbing projects, and every single one of them dismissed my concerns, telling me it was just the sun heating the hose.
Yesterday, I had a pinhole leak in the main water line from the road, so I called GPS. George came out and not only handled the leak, but he actually listened to me and finally figured out the source of my long-standing lukewarm water issue! It turns out George had actually done work for me years ago at my old house in Ronkonkoma, and it’s no surprise that he’s the one who finally solved this problem. He is an absolutely phenomenal plumber who actually knows his stuff. If you need someone who is thorough, knowledgeable, and actually listens to the customer, call George at GPS!

Called around 430pm and they said they be there 830am next morning. 822 I get a knock on the door. The guys found the leak, fixed it, and were out the door within about an hour. Pricing was about what theyd estimated. Highly recommend, we’ll be using them in the future and recommending.
We had mold from three separate leaks and Preferred Choice was the most professional, efficient and helpful in cleaning it up. They were honest and I was so happy with how contained they kept the clean-up debris. Would highly recommend!

My hot water heater sprung a leak on the afternoon of July 3, meaning that I was not going to have a repairman come until Monday. At 8 am Monday morning I called a firm with whom I have transacted in the past with excellent results, Sampson Plumbing and Heating. Their two plumbers were here by noon. Not only did they fix my water heater, but they repaired another half dozen problems with my plumbing that I had put off for the last year. Their work was fabulous, everything installed as I asked for, everything worked perfectly. Nice fellows with excellent personalities, I really felt that they were prioritizing my interests while they were here. The were neat, creative with their solutions, and the cleaned up after themselves when finished. I could not be happier about the work performed by Sampson Plumbing and Heating, especially that their prices were very reasonable as well. If you need a plumber in the Stony Brook area, I recommend Sampson Plumbing and Heating as your first call, they always have exceeded my expectations.

We always do our backflow tests with them however It's hard to contact them. The answering machine most of time full. And telephone system asks you to schedule your appointment by sending an email to backflowspecialist.com which doesn't makes sense for email adress. Hopefully they fix there incoming message.
They came out to check out our septic system which actually did not need servicing at this time . The service guy was polite, informative, friendly and didn’t try to sell me services I didn’t need. How refreshing!!! I will definitely call them back next year when I will need service. And no charge for the check up! B
