“Never in my lifetime would I have thought that a funeral home would be a “good experience” because of the emotions attached to the experience but, I have to say this was by far one of the best experiences in dealing with a business. It started with Matt when we were planning ahead of time for my family’s terminal illness. Matt was so welcoming and compassionate regarding our situation and handled it with grace and ease. Unfortunately, my uncle passed shortly after and we had to meet with Matt again (no appointment) but he treated us with kindness and respect, finalizing the process.

As for the wake and the actual service Andy, Dennis, Wes, Randy (I think that was his name-our driver) were so attentive to details and ensuring our comfort throughout the process. When you are handling grief it’s so important to have a positive team to support you so it’s one less burden to carry.

“Eternal Memorials was used for My moms foot stone. I was dealing directly with Jessica the owners daughter. She handled everything from start to finish. What I liked about Jessica was her personality when I was griving she was very up limiting and calm with me and never pressured me to do anything. She worked with the deposits and payments and always kept me updated through out the entire process. She actually became a friend to me during this process. “When was the last time the funeral home was renovated/updated? I don't care for the red lights on the stands beside the casket I think that is old fashioned. My question is not to be rude. Just curious. My mother was laid out there is 2007.“

“It's a little delayed, but I figure better late than never. My sister passed away YEARS ago and was buried on Long Island. My parents purchased plots when she passed, and since then we had moved to California. On July 29th of 2025, my mother passed away after years of making it clear that her only wish was to be buried with her daughter, across the country. Dodge Thomas was my third call, after being recommended by a relative, as I tried to make final arrangements for my mother as she was on hospice. Mind you, we're in California. From the first call, I dealt with Blake. To say I was impressed is an understatement. From California to New York, Blake arranged everything. Once she passed and I called Blake, everything was set in motion. As for the services (wake, mass and burial), Blake (and the entire staff) went out of their way to make sure my family and I were looked after, that we were taken care of, and went out of their way to make sure that my mom's services were conducted with care, integrity, and honesty. Through the darkest chapter of my life, Dodge Thomas proved to be a kind, respectful, honest and caring beacon of light. For that, I am eternally grateful. Unfortunate to have met under these circumstances, but for any end of life arrangements, I cannot recommend Dodge Thomas enough. 20/10.“

“My mother died in June we were all worried about the funeral home . We wanted it very much personalized to her tastes and ours. We wanted a lot of pink color n pictures n blankets. Allysa helped my family and made it so nice under these terrible circumstances. She was truly the best. We all felt lucky to have her there. The funeral at the cemetery was very nice also. “We recently had to plan a funeral for our beloved mom, which was a very hard thing for us to do. We chose Leo F Kearns funeral home in East Meadow, as it was the place my mom had chosen for my dad‘s services. All of the staff there are wonderful, especially Paul, who went out of his way to make it the easiest experience for us. From saying prayers at the cemetery, to allowing us to stay longer to say goodbye to her, went above and beyond. Even afterwards, he helped us with some of the paperwork we had to acquire. “Visited here for a walk around the grounds. We did the path to the left of the entryway off of Northen Blvd. I have to say that this is by far one of the most majestic cemeteries I've ever been to. It's picturesque and has a hint of an air of fantasy. The grounds are well kept and the tombs are old. There are cool flora everywhere, not to mention fungi. There were some steps down to another area but we didn't explore there. It's a lovely spot to walk around if you don't mind the dead for company. I'm looking forward to going back another day to roam the right side of the cemetery and visit those buried at the base of the hill. This truly is a neighborhood gem. There's a beautiful church too, and I'd love to check it out if/when it's open. Best to visit after a rainy day. Happy strolls!“
