104 Cherry Valley Ave, West Hempstead“My cat Luka started having serious problems and I took him to West Hempstead Animal Hospital where his care has always been top notch. The staff are helpful, friendly knowledgeable and caring. Even though he did not like being there at all, I always felt that he was in the best care.He started deteriorating quickly. Every time I called about something serious that was happening with Luka, I was given an appointment immediately. The doctors and technicians took time to examine him and explain every detail of what they were doing. I felt confident that he would be alright.Unfortunately after a rough week of tests and bloodwork we found out that he had inoperable cancer and there was nothing the doctors could do to prolong his life and/or make him comfortable. I was able to bring him home for one more day so our family could spend time with him.We brought him back the next evening when the hospital was empty where we were all treated with such compassion and dignity, especially our beloved Luka. He closed his beautiful eyes one last time with his family around him and I know he felt our love. As hard as it was for all of us I feel that Dr. Cutler and the staff made it a little easier to say goodbye. Thanks to all of you who helped Luka, and us, on this difficult and heartfelt journey. This was a previous review before Luka became very ill.:Wonderful care for my pet! It was evident that everyone cared about my cat, Luka. He was treated so well, and everyone was very understanding. The doctors took their time explaining in detail what was going on with him as well as giving me feeding instructions and advice about what new changes I should make at home. I left feeling educated and knowing exactly what my cat needs to be happy and healthy!“

The receptionist on the phone was kind, took the necessary information and was able to provide a sme day appointment. Once I got there the facility was clean, the front desk was efficient, and all of the staff were great. My pup and I had a great experience and would come back for a regular visit as well as an emergency (if needed although I hope not lol)“

6209 Fresh Pond Rd, Queens“I want to thank the entire staff. They went well beyond job duties to provide comfort and condolences to our loved Foxy. From the minute you walk in, you can see the care they have for the family members that they are attending to. Compassion is what a lot of other vets lack. They treated my loved one as a family member. One staff member even cried with us. Foxy was a special one because she overcame many of life's obstacles before her time was called. They even sent a card with entire staff signing with messages. Give this place a try. The staff will not disappoint. The doctors are amazing, and just as a side benefit, prices are acceptable. The Diaz family thanks all of you from the bottom of our hearts.“

Dr Cortes thoroughly explained the treatment and risks. Throughout the treatment cycle Dr Cortes called us frequently to make sure the dog was handling things well and kept us informed of the next steps. We really appreciate all of Dr Cortes time and efforts to keep our puppy healthy.“

11249 Queens Blvd, Queens“TLDR: would recommend.TW: Pet lossMy family came in September because one of our pups needed surgery. The staff was kind and professional with an amazing bedside manner. We came back a week ago because this same pup was not doing well, and we knew we might have to make that tough decision. The same vet tech (?) was there, and she remembered our girl. She was so kind before the doc came in.The doc and vet tech both examined her, and we had an honest discussion about what was best for our dog. We ended up putting her to sleep and appreciate the kind and supportive nature of all the staff. We chose to be with our dog as it all happened. Additionally, we cremated our dog and had her remains sent to us. The packaging was beautiful along with a paw print plaster-cast.“

We switched to this practice years ago from a traditional Vet because we wanted a doctor who dealt solely with cats. Dr. Landefeld is an extraordinary. She puts both patients and their owners at ease. I highly recommend the Feline Veterinary Hospital to anyone who is a cat lover! You will not be sorry you made this decision!“

68-60 Austin St Store #8, Queens“My 14.5 yr old cat was throwing up every 2-3 days, not eating, had 2 seizures, very smelly soft poops and yowling 2 hours each morning the last three weeks. My regular vet took blood work on 12-19-23 and only saw mild anemia their ekg was down, half their staff had respiratory illness and it was the holidays. We went to Williamsburg on Xmas eve because she had a 2 nd seizure and all they could do is recommend we leave her so they could observe another one, no ekg or sonogram, so we took her home. We were at our wits end, just helplessly watching her die. Then we found Austin street veterinary. We called on 12-27-23 and they saw us that evening, treated us with the upmost caring and respect. They did bloodwork, EKG gave our baby fluids for her extreme hydration and we had a sonogram appointment scheduled for 1-2-24. They did everything they could to help and we were not alone anymore. Unfortunately on 12-28-23 our “Little One” stopped eating and was in pain so we put her down. The bloodwork came back extremely anemic, liver and kidneys extremely elevated and possibly poisoning (we were feed Purina Live Clear). We will never forget their kindness and how they tried to help us. We would highly recommend them to anyone that has a pet. They can’t do miracles, but they care and that means a lot when your pet is ill.“

290 Denton Ave, New Hyde Park“Several months ago, my 12 year old Lab had severe discoloration around her right eye along with significant discomfort. Prior visits to another veterinary clinic had not been able to address the problem, but Dr. Datner was able to identify and treat the problem within one visit. He is very thorough, thoughtful and systematic in his approach to treating his patients. If I had waited for a veterinarian ophthalmologist, I am not sure my dog would have healed. I highly recommend Dr. Datner.“

1 Mineola Ave, Roslyn“Dr Mario Vezza and his team are great. Our first experience was when our Mini Goldendoodle ate something poisonous in the evening a few weeks back and the doctor walked us through what to do over the phone in advance of bringing her in the next day. It was the best experience at a very difficult moment. This past week we brought our cat in to have what we thought was a cyst removed. It turned out to be a tumor. I asked a lot of questions which he answered and was transparent when I inquired about the cost and effort that would be put in. He also removed teeth that had become infected and brought to our attention a thyroid issue that she has. She is now doing better and on thyroid medicine. I am so happy that we brought her there.“
“He's the BEST vet you could ever ask for. He's caring, informative, kind, gentle, understanding, I could go on and on raving about him. I literally tell EVERYONE about him. He has the best bed side manners even our small, anxious Penelope is always less tense. He understands them, and is never too pushy. I love that he's an integrative vet, he's never forced any unnecessary treatments, meds and/or vaxx. And he's always teaching us something new about dogs every time we go visit! Most recently we went in for a dental, with some severe periodontal disease. Her teeth are looking so sparkly, clean with nice bright pink gums. I could not be happier with Dr. Haimann!! He's truly amazing!!“
