“I've never done hot yoga before and my friend had nothing but good things to say about this place...so naturally I gave it a try. I got the 1-month unlimited intro offer and haven't looked back since! I realized I REALLY love hot yoga (just what my body needs after heavy weight lifting) and I love love love the staff. Being a beginner, I was very nervous at the start, but thankfully I've always felt welcome and comfortable doing yoga here and going at my own pace/modifying movements when needed. Many kudos to the staff!Definitely worth the $$, highly recommend.“

“I was having tons of problems with balance, stamina, and general overall health due to an old ankle injury which made my entire body off-balance. I was falling a lot and had little proprioception. Then, more recently, I had right breast cancer, so half my chest was removed, which further aggravated my balance. I decided to start working with Lisa, and, oh boy, what a difference!! I am stronger and I haven't fallen for quite some time now, primarily because I am going barefoot more often, at Lisa's suggestion, and I have been working religiously on my balance. I also have more stamina and strength; I only anticipate that this will get better since I will continue to work with Lisa. It's wonderful that she has lessons on-line if one of us is out of town. Probably one of the unintended consequences of working out is I now have so much more energy! Give Lisa a try for 3 months, and you will not regret the time spent. She's also a ton of fun!“

“Movetru at Langford is a fun and challenging exercise program that helps you master everyday tasks and movements. I find the balancing and core strengthening at times difficult and also very useful. Julie breaks down harder exercises into achievable parts that you reassemble to do something you couldn't do before. There is a great variety of exercises. You gain strength and confidence while having fun.“

“I have been working with De on and off for 7 years. She is extremely flexible with her time and patient with her training. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their health gain muscle or loss fat. De is also a great life coach. As a small business owner, she has been crucial in our therapy sessions. The greatest part about her business is that there are days that I will need her guidance all the time and then go months without an appointment. She encourages independence but is always available should you need to return for additional support.“

“Never have I ever encountered a trainer like Jerry! I love the individual time, care, knowledge and program each of us has. There are three of us who attend at the same time, each not only with our own individual needs but our own quirkiness as well! But I’d like to focus on my daughter’s training. Jerry has worked with her for many years. He has been such an extraordinary force in her physical and emotional health. She is NOT forthcoming verbally with needs, discomforts, or even pain during workouts, but she’s getting a little better. But with Jerry, she doesn’t need to be. He completely understands her limits and just knows when she needs a break. He is always communicating with her, explaining in easy to understand language. He learns all he can on her prognosis and challenges, and works very hard to improve her quality of life! We are all truly blessed to know and train with Jerry! “Its name and small size might give the impression that it's a hardcore bodybuilder/powerlifter gym. It isn't. After ten plus years away from any kind of fitness routine and putting on some unwanted weight, I didn't feel I was out of place at all. The gym is clean, friendly, quiet, reasonably priced, well equipped and not too crowded.“

“Great gym close to the Nob Hill / University / Downtown area. HUGE gym. Good equipment and a lot of it. I don't think there will be fighting over a squat rack here, there are plenty. Open 24 hours and code access. This place even has an octagon. Great place to get active and spread fitness. I also really like that you can see that the owner is putting money into it constantly. The pictures on Google are cool because when you go you can actually see just how much has been put into it. Cool place. Go join.“

“I started SPENGA in 2021 and recommend it to anyone that wants to get in better shape. Whether you are a gym rat in a rut or have never worked out a day in your like, SPENGA is for you. Never in a million years did I think I'd like guided classes, but the staff is AMAZING! I like that the workouts change daily. I typically go to one of the classes in the AM and consider the staff friends. The moment I walk in, I am greeted by Sasha who is always smiling and very welcoming. The instructors challenge, push, and motivate me daily with great music and inspirational words used throughout class. Some of my favorite instructors are Mycah, Hatch, Gaby, Amanda... Love the music they play and how they motivate me to give 110%.“

“The gym is kept nice and tidy. Can be busy at times, but of course, that’s what you’d expect from any gym. The staff is always friendly and personable. With the gym offering a sauna and massage chairs, after each workout I feel rested and rejuvenated. Prices are awesome, although you do get into a contract. But again, with the prices being so good.. I’m ok with it.“
