Unlike many, Dad wasn't local anymore, but had entrusted a member of the Festa family, that shared my father's line of work, to "do right" by him.Doing right entailed a partner funeral home on my side of the state transferring Dad's body somewhere on the Garden State Parkway, then getting his body to Totowa for the services.There's a reason people choose Festa in their final time. Those who had roots or careers of note go there, as it's known as not only a landmark, but just *where you go*.I'm forever grateful. Was it costly? Yes. Was it worth it? Also yes.“
