They get to know the dogs and their personalities and they treat them like royalty. This is the only place I have trusted to board Leah. I love how they send texts and phones to keep me posted while i am at work or on vacation. Thank you Richie for having a great team.“

428 Columbus Ave, New York“I was bracing for exorbitant costs for a routine mature lady cat checkup. Dr Ball was really nice, patient, and reasonable. She is also a very good educator and I think all pet parents would benefit from all her helpful advice and care. The staff, as usual, were kind and friendly. I was quite pleased with the appointment. The experience made me want to come back and have Dr Ball keep taking care of Mochi to provide the best quality of life for the cat. Thank you!“

From the way they treat her with so much love and care to the excellent customer service I receive, I cannot recommend PAWSIES more. They have been dependable and professional from Day 1. Thank you to the team!“

33 Bond St, Brooklyn“Kramer’s daycare evaluation “audition” at 33 Bond was only a few hours, but he seemed to have a great time! He enjoyed meeting new friends and had lots of fun playing with them. As his hooman, it’s just as important that I feel good about leaving my boy in a new place and the staff made me feel comfortable and confident that he was in good hands. The space has a good vibe and although we don’t currently have a need for daily daycare, we look forward to returning as a recurring guest!“

125 Roebling St, Brooklyn“The Dog Institute is truly exceptional. From the moment I first spoke with Elizabeth, the owner, I knew we had found the right place to support us after bringing home our American Shepherd puppy, Ruby. In that very first phone conversation, Elizabeth could hear the uneasiness in my voice. I was feeling overwhelmed and stressed about doing everything right to raise our puppy well and give her a great life. Elizabeth immediately put me at ease with her calm, thoughtful approach and clear depth of experience.
Since then, The Dog Institute has been an incredible resource for us. Ruby attends Play & Train regularly, and it’s easily her favorite thing in the world. The staff are fantastic: friendly, attentive, and clearly very experienced with a wide range of dogs and personalities. It’s such a positive, well-run environment, and we always feel confident knowing Ruby is spending time with such a great group of people and dogs.
We also work with Elizabeth for Ruby’s 1:1 training sessions. Her knowledge and experience really shine in how clearly and effectively she teaches both dogs and their owners. The sessions are practical, approachable, and incredibly effective. Ruby soaked up her early lessons and quickly grew into a confident, well-behaved puppy thanks to Elizabeth’s guidance.
We feel so lucky to have found The Dog Institute and are incredibly grateful for Elizabeth and the entire team. We’re excited to continue working with them as Ruby grows.“

645 W 57th St, New York“I've been taking my little Walnut here since we moved to the city around 6 months ago (started around when he was a little over 1yo) and could not be happier with how the daycare, pickup/dropoff, and walking services have been. My work schedule is variable and PupCulture has been a lifesaver to take care of Walnut when I'm not at home.
We have been doing daycare with occasional pickup (which has been seamless as I live right above the Pupculture) and walks since the summer and the whole team is always great to interact with and so caring to him. They're super understanding for the occasional last-minute request and are very consistent. They send the cutest pictures for walks/pickups/daycare. I'm very glad to have them.“

498 Kinderkamack Rd, River Edge“I have a diabetic senior dog who is on a very regimented schedule for feeding and insulin. For the past 5 months, I've had to hand-feed her meals 3x a day to ensure she could receive her insulin doses. This process became unattainable and very stressful, so I reached out to Frank at Behavior Plus for advice. He offered an assortment of suggestions - adding specific products to her meals to entice her, removing metal bowls from her feeding, adding in a treat/reward approach during feeding times, etc. He also suggested her actions may be related to behavior issues and associating the kibble with pain. We made the changes Frank offered and now our dog is eating on her own for the first time in months! Big thanks to Frank and his team at BPDT - their compassion for pets (and their human parents) are like no other. I am forever grateful for his time and expertise in getting my dog back to her normal self.“

38 Peck Slip, New York“The Big City Walkers (and overnight pet sitters -- we've used both!) have been exceptional. Just lovely people who love dogs and take great care of them. I was truly saddened that we needed to bid farewell to our walker -- we only did so as we moved out of the zone. Thank you for taking such good care of Coco!“

76 W 85th St Unit A, New York“My husband and I have a five year old Whoodle (wheaten terrier and poodle mix). She has issues with resource guarding with myself and my husband when we are around other dogs. We’ve seen various trainers over the years with mix success and assurance over their credentials.
After long deliberation and research, we decided to get another Whoodle puppy. My husband has allergies to dogs and this is one of the few breeds he has found that do not cause inflammation. I was very anxious about the situation in case our current dog would be aggressive or unsettled with the addition. Before we got the puppy, we consulted with our vet, Heart of Chelsea (who is generally amazing). Heart of Chelsea recommend we contact one of their preferred trainers, which included Amanda Gagnon dog training.
From the point of booking the initial session, they were lovely to work with. Their services might be slightly more expensive that the neighborhood dog trainer, but they are worth every penny as these people are the real deal. Melissa came to our apartment to meet our current dog and help us with some tips on how to integrate a puppy as well as how to approach our dog’s aggressive behavior toward other dogs. Melissa so professional, smart, but also real. It didn’t feel like she was in any way judgmental or condescending. She offered great advice in person and also via email for follow-up questions. We had her come back again after we get the puppy to check-in on approach and progress. Their services SIGNIFICANTLY reduced my angst about the new puppy situation and made me feel like I had realistic, logical, and positive methods to tackle the situation.
I cannot recommend this Company more for care with your beloved dogs. Melissa and Amanda Gagnon are now go-to resources for us in making sure our furry family members are happy and healthy.“

“I recently took my puppy for grooming. It's my first time as a pet owner so i wasn't sure even what kind of cut to get. My puppy cut came out great because of britnany and i was so thankful because last cut they left her looking like a mole rat. There was one employee that really took her time to explain to me a couple of things and i told her my dog breath sometimes is so bad and she doesn't like greenies. She showed me drops in the store & just gave me pointers on keeping her fur coat white. I can google tiktok and search for pointers but her taking the time to explain & help me understand certain things without rushing really meant a lot and put me at ease. I wish i knew her name. But thank you!“
