“Club Pilates in Hoboken is a great place to work out. It's located in a beautiful area of Hoboken, one block from the Hudson. It's such a pleasant walk to the club. There are four trainers in Hoboken that I workout with regularly. Bonnie is fantastic. She always comes to class prepared to teach. The routines vary from week to week. Bonnie ensures that her classes are challenging and effective; she always has her eye on her student's form. I take Suspend 1.5 and Cardio Sculpt 1.5 with her on Wednesdays, and then I go home and nap. Claudia teaches CP Reformer Flow 2 - I love that class, and I look forward to it all week. Claudia focuses on balance, strength, and breathing. We do much of the workout using the chair. What a great piece of equipment, but without the right trainer, it's just a wood and spring contraption. Claudia makes it challenging and with such enthusiasm. She is so personable and supportive. Claudia encourages her students to be confident, to try new movements, and to reach beyond the ordinary. She's great. Kristine is another terrific coach. I usually take Suspend 1.5 and CP Reformer Flow 1.5 with her. Kristine is a natural-born teacher. She will repeat a movement until she is confident that the class understands it. She watches for struggling individuals and works with them until she is confident the student can move forward. All in all, the classes are fun, effective, and worth every penny. People will always complain, but the classes always fill up, and people show up no matter what, through rain, snowstorms, or strong winds. I'm very happy with Club Pilates Hoboken.“

“I have chronic back pain now for 15 years, two surgeries, a fusion with 8 screws, DISH and have now been diagnosed with a new stenosis amongst other issues. I had been working with another studio for several years, but after reading Mongoose's bio, it seemed like they were more suited for my non-stop pain and I was not mistaken. I have been working with Melissa and it isn't all about strengthening my core or exercises, but she actually helps me relieve my most intense pain and teaches me to work certain muscles to take the stress off my back. She is extremely empathetic and always positive. She guides me throughout the session and makes sure I do not trigger any pain or spasms in my delicate back. After my three trial sessions, I am now signing up for more because my condition is getting worse and I really need guidance to relieve my daily pain. Best of all, they have partnered with Thrive Physical Therapy so I am scheduled to work with both of them to fight my extremely painful back pain.“

“Rebecca runs the best Pilates studio I've ever been to and the teachers are top notch. Dynamic Pilates only offers private sessions and they are amazing. The vibe in the studio is really positive and the students are all ages, men and women, all ethnicities and many have been going for years. The location is also super easy to get to, quiet and spotless. The reformers and Cadillac are in perfect shape. Go and you'll be hooked!!“

“I confess, I own a bag that says "My yoga pants have never been to yoga" but my oncologist and naturopathic doctor have been strongly urging me to strengthen, stretch, move (aka exercise!) daily on my journey to heal from cancer. When my fitness-loving niece flew into town, we decided, instead of eating, to take a Pilates class together. We signed up for a Reformer All Levels Sunday afternoon class at Avea Pilates. I was a bit nervous because all of my previous (limited) experiences doing Pilates has been disappointing and self-esteem-crushing - I've walked out after classes sad and ashamed that I have the weakest "core" ever and non-existent upper body strength. I could never keep up with other students and the teachers always made me feel like the worst student. Avea Pilates is DIFFERENT! My niece and I walked into a beautiful sunlit studio greeted by our gorgeous instructor Victoria. The reformer machines were so clean, they looked brand new. The 12pm class only had one other student so with me and my niece makes 3, it practically seemed like a private class! Our teacher Victoria led us through the exercises on the reformer and without skipping a beat, gave each of us individualized guidance. She also has experience working with physical therapy patients so she smoothly and discreetly directed me to use the lighter hooks on some exercises (even changed them out for me on some stretches) knowing that I had limited range of motion on one side of my body. I felt so cared for, while at the same time, I was getting a great workout! A few of the Pilates exercises reminded me of ballet class - I was in my element! Success! I can do Pilates after all! Afterwards Victoria handed us these blue water bottles and a towel. Wow, I thought, this is luxury, beautiful water bottles to drink out of! No, it was a spray bottle of cleaner, we were asked to spray our reformer equipment and wipe them clean. That's fair and pretty smart! My mind and body already felt energized and refreshed from such a wonderful Pilates class so wiping down my machine was a breeze. Walking out of Victoria's class at Avea Pilates, my posture was straighter, my muscles felt longer and stronger and my self-confidence definitely had a boost!“

“Ive been coming to Corinthian for the past few months for a lateral meniscus tear that surgeons wanted to operate on. Instead of doing shake and bake exercises they looked at where the pain was coming from which was my hip that was not moving, and my knee was not tracking correctly. Once I was out of pain I was giving totally different exercises standing to strengthen my knee, hip and work on balance.They are so caring give you their personal phone number with any questions.No surgery needed!“

“Love that JC finally has pure barre! The studio is pretty easy to find and the instructors are great! I really enjoyed my first JC class there and will be going back more often. The only downside to me was that I feel that the studios need to have more ventilation or the carpets need to be cleaned better because I can smell feet and sweat which I don’t like.“

“AMAZING VIRTUAL PILATES CLASS. the perfect amount of challenge combined with deep stretching in between exercises. I feel honored to have taken a class with Jesolyn, such an experienced instructor, with 30+ years of teaching (and it shows, hah!) Through out the class she made sure all the students were performing the exercises properly and she corrected our form if needed. She also gave modifications to tailor to each individual student. “I am so happy with this studio that I purchased more lessons after finishing my 3rd from the introductory package. My instructor is Morgan Bryant and I cannot recommend her enough. Morgan knows when to push and when I am at my limit for the session and I have been making great progress with her. The location is clean and private. I feel more like I am exercising in a room in my home. I highly recommend Riverdale Pilates.“
